A Pennsylvania judge has waved the starting flag on a sex assault trial for Bill Cosby -- ruling Wednesday night that there is no "immunity deal" barring the comedian from prosecution, as defense lawyers had tried to claim.
A trial date has yet to be set on a former Temple University athletic department employee's claims that Cosby drugged and assaulted her in his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.
Cosby, 78, faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of assaulting the woman, Andrea Constand. It will be the first criminal trial by a woman claiming he'd sexually abused her; more than 50 women have come forward since 2000 with allegations ranging from sexual misconduct to rape, many including the use of drugs.

I grew up with Bill Cosby. The kindly mentor of Sesame Street, the conscience in Fat Albert, and the wise father of the Huxtable Family. This blows my mind.
Cosby won’t get the black racist crowd to support him either...he’s in trouble.

It probably doesn’t matter, because they will get all of his money trying to keep him out of the slammer, so broke or in jail amount to about the same thing at his age.

I do however believe that if you wait 50 years to make an accusation something isn’t right. I’m not saying he didn’t do something but I doubt that who he did it to didn’t want it, or at least weren’t expecting it. When they didn’t get what they wanted out of it they now try to get something “extra” from it.
If you sit on it for 50 years you can’t have been too upset about it.
Had they accused him at the time it happened it would be a whole lot more believable. I do not know the whole story but nobody will after 50 years the participants can’t even remember the facts.

ludicrous finding....his attorneys will have this settled in a very short period of time...I think that he is a sleazebag, but to wait years after an alleged assault is to SERIOUSLY bring your claim into doubt. It all sounds like a money grab to me....I hope they toss it.
I liked his comedy too. “Bill Cosby: Himself” is till one of the all time classic comedy movies.
Don’t know whether I believe all the charges against him or not. It seems like a bunch of opportunistic golddiggers are railroading him.
I do know the Left was all over him a few years go for sounding like a conservative... who knows what’s true anymore.

The only thing PeeWee did wrong was get caught spanking his monkey to hetero porn in an adult movie theater (pre internet days). Hardly compares with drugging and raping women.

Like Jimbo said, this stuff really started after he told the Civil War contraband to get off their asses, learn English, take care of their bastards and get jobs. Coincidence? I think not.

Where are you getting 50 years? The article says 50 women since the year 2000 not 2000 women in 50 years.
The case being discussed took place in 2004.
There’s a lot of “smoke” here, a lot. The guy is a creep even if it was all consensual.
But I watched part of a special with the alleged victims telling their stories, I’m no expert but the ones I heard rang false to me.
If I’m on jury, I’d need more than “she said” to vote to convict.
