MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Ben Carson accepted Ted Cruz's apology after the Texas senator's campaign was accused of trying to sabotage his opponent's chances in the Iowa caucuses. But Carson lamented the types of "dirty tricks" that he believes are reflected in "Washington values."
"These 'dirty tricks' political tactics are part of the reason Dr. Carson got into this race and reflect the 'Washington values' of win at all cost -- regardless of the damage to the country -- which he is trying to change," Carson communication director Larry Ross said in a statement to announce the former neurosurgeon had accepted the apology.
Cruz's campaign blasted out a report Monday night that suggested Carson was going home to Florida instead of campaigning after the Iowa caucuses - something Cruz said Tuesday is "fair game" - but admitted that the campaign should have corrected that report when it became clear Carson wasn't dropping out of the race. He was just going home to get "fresh clothes."

"This was a mistake from our end, and for that I apologize to Dr. Carson," Cruz said in a statement Tuesday, hours after he was declared the winner in Iowa while Carson finished a distant fourth.

And most appropriate. These senators /representatives we elected do nothing except complain. The only time we really hear much from the selfish SOB’s is when they want our vote again. Surely we cannot be so stupid as to vote for anyone in office NOW.
Trump was quoting Dr Carsons book. Do you think he read it or did Ben point it out to him?
Accepting an apology doesn’t mean you don’t also want the wrong to be made right.

Trump won’t even apologize to God, good luck getting him to apologize to any man.

I don’t know him personally, nor is it likely I’ll ever know him personally, so I can only judge him by what he says and does publicly.
He said he has never asked God for forgiveness because he’s done nothing wrong. Despite the fact he’s an admitted adulterer

You will have to prove that this CNN original story that was re-tweeted by both Team Rubio and Cruz CAUSED Carson to come fourth place.
I do not for a moment believe that Carson supporters are so gullible and dumb not to DOUBLE CHECK to see if tweets from the internet are true or not prior to deciding to stay home.
The reality is — Carson was not going to come close to landing anywhere near the top 3 in Iowa, twitter rumors or not.
The RCP average of polls prior to the Iowa caucus had Carson at 7.7%. He ended up getting 9% -— BETTER THAN EXPECTED.
It was Trump who underperformed. That is why he is the one making a big stink out of it.
Carson is pissed!
God never said to attach that condition to our forgivenesses. That kind of condition only guarantees to hang the burden of monitoring the other party’s “repentance” around OUR necks.

I often tell people who were hurt, that I am sorry. I did not do anything, but as a Christian we hurt when other hurt and we are sorry for them.
You are missing, of course, what he also says about trying to make right. Because making right requires, of course, God... I think he’s saying he doesn’t make it ceremonial. If he were to stop and reflect on what was going on, I think it would eventually dawn on him that yes, God was involved. He’d call it an act of conscience.
While we don’t have to have someone repent in order to be able to forgive them (i.e. transfer the burden to God)... a repentance is evidence of a forgiveness.

John 3:16 “... That WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM Should not perish but have everlasting life”
Are you saying that you can believe in Christ but not acknowledge your sins and ask for forgiveness?
There is a condition attached to the above famed verse.
” If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” — 1 John 1:8-10
Again, notice the IF condition there.
“And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” — Acts 2:38
Notice the precondition for forgiveness of sin — REPENTANCE.
I’d love a Trump/Alan West ticket.
