What Ted Cruz Said about the Coal Mining Community Just Changed the Game Completely
Wayne Dupree Show ^ | 2 Feb 16 | Wayne Dupre

Posted on 02/03/2016 5:16:08 AM PST by elhombrelibre

On Wednesday night, I had the pleasure of interviewing Senator Ted Cruz on the Wayne Dupree Show about a number of issues affecting the American people. Immigration, education, and the culture of distrust in Washington were among these issues. Cruz answered these questions pointedly and specifically and didn’t waiver or hold back his passion for America.

I have a few friends in West Virginia that have felt the effects of Barack Obama and his fight against coal industry. I asked about the coal industry because we really haven’t heard the current GOP candidates speak on the issue. It would go a long way for coal workers if they knew they had someone backing them. Not only did Cruz deliver support for the industry, he also had a few more things to say.

Check out this audio and share with your friends:

If it’s vegetables, grow you own. Home grown veggies, fruit and meat are tastier than store bought. Store bought are days, weeks or months old.

It’s been really bad for much of the USA. A while back, Obama’s buddy Warren Buffett’s railroad (Burlington Northern) was hauling so much oil that there was no one to haul coal out west to coal-fired electric plants. No wonder Buffett opposed Keystone.

And Trump never deigned to hold or run for an elected office before deciding to become president.

Thank you for presenting the facts here.

I appreciate your calm demeanor in challenging the false story of Cruz going all in for ‘tossing the illegals out’.

This coal story smells of pandering, which I have little doubt it is. Sigh

“So Ted Cruz is responsible for what Geo. Bush did in his campaign....really!!!”

No, it means Ted Cruz was responsible for what Ted Cruz did during his time with the Bush campaign and the Bush Administration, advising and preparing policy positions for Bush to approve, which enabled illegal immigrants to remain in the United States.

Wikipedia:

Bush administration

Cruz joined the George W. Bush presidential campaign in 1999 as a domestic policy adviser, advising then-Governor George W. Bush on a wide range of policy and legal matters, including civil justice, criminal justice, constitutional law, immigration, and government reform.[47]

Cruz assisted in assembling the Bush legal team, devising strategy, and drafting pleadings for filing with the Supreme Court of Florida and U.S. Supreme Court, in the case Bush v. Gore, during the 2000 Florida presidential recounts, leading to two wins for the Bush team.[43][50] Cruz recruited future Chief Justice John Roberts and noted attorney Mike Carvin to the Bush legal team.[48]

After President Bush took office, Cruz served as an associate deputy attorney general in the U.S. Justice Department[4][50] and as the director of policy planning at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.[4][39][50]

“Trump jerks have already taken a crap on this discussion. Typical. Dismissive. Lying. Mocking. Typical Trumpbots.”

They’ve been crapping on it for quite a while. I believe the site is losing or has lost respectability and credibility. No more adult and factual discussion. I hope it will return to normal when Trump is out of the race. You left out Childish.

I would bet that a large number of coal miners and railroaders in WV voted for Obama.

I would not make that bet if I were you.

2012 Election
On election day, Mitt Romney defeated Barack Obama in the state of West Virginia by a landslide 26.76% margin. The Republican ticket took 62.30% of the vote to the Democratic ticket's 35.54%, and also swept every county in the state.[1]

You are intellectually not an honest person...You rant and rave about what Ted Cruz did when he was employed by Geo. Bush ten years ago and give Trump a Pass on what he said last year.

But for our national defense expert Ted Cruz to suggest he is going to shutter the agency that maintains our nuclear weapons is asinine.

A sophomoric argument...just because one does away with a government Bureaucracy doesn't mean one does away with necessary functions. The energy dept., the IRS , and let's not forget the EPA have engaged in practices that do not pertain to their main function. All three need to be dissolved and reincarnated as agencies with a strict boundaries and definition about what they can and cannot do.

This is naive and puerile. Function are performed through bureaucracies.

And again the IRS is not an agency. The agency is Treasury.

Yes they have 1... The republican won in a landslide in 2014, as the full effects of Obamas war on coal were apparent... the other Dem, was elected in 2010 and will be voted out this year.

WV will be red just like it was in 2008 and 2012.... No chance in hell that WV will go blue in a presidential race in 16.
