What Ted Cruz Said about the Coal Mining Community Just Changed the Game Completely
Wayne Dupree Show ^ | 2 Feb 16 | Wayne Dupre

Posted on 02/03/2016 5:16:08 AM PST by elhombrelibre

On Wednesday night, I had the pleasure of interviewing Senator Ted Cruz on the Wayne Dupree Show about a number of issues affecting the American people. Immigration, education, and the culture of distrust in Washington were among these issues. Cruz answered these questions pointedly and specifically and didn’t waiver or hold back his passion for America.

I have a few friends in West Virginia that have felt the effects of Barack Obama and his fight against coal industry. I asked about the coal industry because we really haven’t heard the current GOP candidates speak on the issue. It would go a long way for coal workers if they knew they had someone backing them. Not only did Cruz deliver support for the industry, he also had a few more things to say.

Check out this audio and share with your friends:

>>> Apparently Obama’s war on coal has been prosecuted by the executive branch only, without benefit of legislation. <<<

Cruz is dead on target with this issue while Trump is off somewhere bragging about something.

BUT, I still want a coal-fired, steam powered zeppelin...

These kind of National Inquirer baiting headlines are STUPID... it is trailer trash supermarket checkout line mentality ... there is enough room in the headline to state what is was that was said.

But please continue with the dumbing down of America...

“You Wouldn’t believe what Trump said about what Cruz almost said about ....”

Asinine shit is all some posters understand... I suppose

Trump made insulting people and evading details the center piece of his campaign.

I was in Australia dec and jan, and beyond all other issues one of the most alluring aspects was the incredible wonderful beautiful affordable food they had!

The eggs, the meat, the milk, the breads, the fruits.

All of it, i’ve only been back home 3 weeks and i’m forever spoiled upon Australian food.

I’ve searched for anything close,American foods are too bleached, too bland, and if organic too expensive.

“Changing or evolving positions are a bit tough for Trump supporters[....]”

I am not a Trump supporter, and I have not endorsed any candidate, much less Trump. Whether or not Trump is also guilty of shifting positions does nothing to condone the way in which Ted Cruz has outright lied and cheated in this campaign. Ted Cruz’s actions with respect to Carson deserve to have him booted out of the election altogether.

I don’t think so. Nor should Obama and Biden target a legal product that consumers want to appease the Left’s environmentalists. Maybe you agree with Obama’s war on coal, though.

Kentucky and Indiana are hard hit too. Obama and Biden kept their promise to go after coal making sure it had no market.

I don’t like the headline either, but the post had nothing to do with Trump and neither did the article. I realize that in the minds of some people any discussion about any topic or any person who is not Trump is unacceptable.

I would bet that a large number of coal miners and railroaders in WV voted for Obama.

Go to the IBEW web page they are thanking their union brothers and sisters for helping re elect Obama.

Now they are bitching about Obama shutting down coal.

West Virginia has gone GOP since 2000, with increasing majorities. Unlike PA union Democrats, the ones in WV recognize when they are being warred upon.

sounds a lot like Teddy Roosevelt.. he could insult people with the best of them and he was beloved by the American people,, he was a filthy rich New Yorker who fought for the regular guy,, and not only that he proudly made the USA respected around the world

“I want 40 acres and a zeppelin flying over my house.”

Nope, but you can have a drone that looks like a balloon.

Cruz’s positions are clearly stated on his website. You are misrepresenting him.

No need for anyone to misrepresent Cruz's positions. He represents himself quite well.

How about this howler - eliminating the IRS. Sorry my friends, there are lots of things that should be done with the IRS. But every country, every business has a billing and accounts receivables department. Money makes the world go round as the disingenuous Cruz knows perferctly well.

Or how about this howler - the defense expert Cruz is going to close the Department of Energy. Now the little secret - the every experienced expert on government organization knows - DOE really doesn't do energy. Most of its money goes for basic scientfic research and nuclear weapons because DOE was the old ERDA which was the older AEC. I will not suggest that a lot of that stuff cannot be done better.

But for our national defense expert Ted Cruz to suggest he is going to shutter the agency that maintains our nuclear weapons is asinine.

Yes! A coal-powered zeppelin with a steam engine!

That would indeed be "something terrific"!

Teddy was a progressive. Trump until about three years ago was a liberal. Teddy was personally brave. Trump went to a military school. Teddy wrote elegant prose. Trump twitters garrulous garbage. Teddy hated monopolies. Trump bribed political cronies to make sure he was picked as a winner. Teddy hunted all over the world. Trump promotes prissy luxuries for fellow sybarites. Teddy led the rough life. Trump leads a life of luxury and hedonism. Teddy had one wife. Trump has three so far. Teddy was a deep thinker. Trump is a facile blowhard.
