Trump Nation's Faded Boarding Pass
The American Thinker ^ | February 2, 2016 | Geoffrey P. Hunt

[snip]

".........Trump Nation is tired of failed transactions leaving only humiliation, disrespect, hardship, and despair. Trump Nation wants a transaction president.

Donald Trump knows transactions. Donald Trump advertises that he's not only a high stakes negotiator. Trump will save the nation in the grandest transaction yet.

It is that simple.

Just like Trump Airlines.

Recall Trump's promises in 1988 -- a lot more than a simple transaction in keeping the aging Eastern Airlines shuttle fleet flying. Trump promised luxury, convenience, style, personal touches, affinity to grandeur, and profitability.

Except for convenience, Trump delivered nothing else for which customers were willing to pay. The Trump Shuttle was a flaming financial wreck. Customers had already defected to upstart Pan Am. In desperation Trump trashed his rival, claiming Pam Am execs were losers, and Pan Am was unsafe. (Sound familiar?)

Soon enough, Donald Trump's transaction to transform the airline business was a bust. His most important transaction was confounding third party creditors in bailing out his personal guarantees.

Donald Trump's prefabricated brand is of the quintessential transactional leader. He's a master, even negotiating brilliant escape hatches when he fails.

Trump Airlines, perhaps Trump's boldest venture far removed from his core expertise, still displayed Trump's leitmotif -- engineering a brash makeover for an overvalued transaction to get into the airline game, unable to command the nuts-and-bolts knowhow needed to gain market share and stop bleeding margins, thus in desperation finally piloting a perilous landing, coaxed to the ground by Citibank controllers leaving the third party creditors, and employees, to find the exit row chutes, fending for themselves.".......

It is called business.

I’ll take Trump, warts and all, over another politician. You have an impressive list of Trump’s failed business ventures.
Let’s see a list of Ted’s or Marco’s accomplishments in the business world..Those two talk smack, and tell us what “we need to do”, but have they ever started a business, or met payroll? Of course not..they are POLITICIANS, silly me. They are responsible for the management of the COUNTRY,..and have failed miserably.

You can beat Trump up all day long, but he’s a Leader and our last hope to save our nation.

One final thought..I’m confident that neither Ted nor Marco will ever sit in the Oval Office. They are not qualified due to birth. You can downplay that fact, as they are, but the dems are going to have fun dragging the “Boys From Havana” into court. Just watch.

from Washington Examiner 12/16/15

Byron York — Rubio battle makes GOP immigration muddle worse, not better.

You can read the article. York does his research.

Two quotes, the second one is particularly disturbing (save and expand legal immigration which will kill conservatism) from the Cruz camp:

First quote:

“Cruz’s team has tried to explain away that position by claiming Cruz was offering some sort of poison-pill amendment designed to kill the Gang of Eight bill rather than improve it. Cruz did it himself in a somewhat stammering interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier Wednesday evening. But the situation is more complicated than Cruz says. Yes, he knew Democrats would never accept his amendments, but he spoke with apparent feeling about including legalization, if delayed, in the final deal.”

second quote:

“I’m here tonight, and I want to make this super clear to everybody, so put me on the record on this: Sen. Cruz unequivocally, unequivocally, does not support legalization,” national campaign chairman Chad Sweet told the Washington Examiner’s David Drucker after the debate. When Drucker asked what Cruz would do with the 11 or 12 million immigrants in the U.S. illegally, Sweet answered, “His plan is attrition through enforcement. He’s following the rule of law...If we enforce the law, ultimately there will be attrition through enforcement. And in the end, though, what the senator is trying to do, as well, is save and expand our legal immigration system.”

Steve King (Iowa) sent out a tweet to the effect “Looks like Carson is out” In fact I believe those were his exact words. Then he encouraged Cruz camp to use that to convince Carson voters to vote Cruz.

Except, Carson wasn’t out and Carson was ticked about it last night when it happened.

Wonder why Steve King did that?

Steve King sent a tweet that it was based on “insider” information. Of course he couldn’t vet it or disclose it,,it was a rumor and he ran with it (or he created it himself). It’s called dirty politics.

I think you overlook what has happened under Obama.... hordes of his illegals have been planted all over this nation. And since they owe liberals, one of those things will be voting.
Cruz will have deal with reality.... does he love this country or does he believe he is entitled.. If he believes he is entitled these liberals will make darn sure that America knows he is not eligible to hold the office.... well, now, that is if he really is against open borders and amnesty.

Short term wins do not declare long term gains.

This presidential election is about OPEN BORDERS

“I suggest that NO ONE use your prose as a substitute for the facts”

That is odd. You have an inflated view of your power.

Why not disprove my points directly instead of evading them?

RE:”Even when he loses after telling everyone he won't lose he still wins. Impressive mind-meld.”

Don is going to have to rework those lines he uses where he says that he never loses and all the others are losers.

But he is the master of spin so I am sure he won't blink on that.

Right. They lie about Trump. They push outlandish stuff. Hard to like the way things have gone since Cruz said those New York Values comments. Coming off as petty. I like both guys. But it rubs ne wrong. The anti Trump folks are just like the media at Fox News.

CNN reporter Chris Moody tweeted the assumption at 4:20pm, King picked up the rumor and tweeted at 7:20pm. Probably threw the whole contest : )

Trump was the better candidate. Cruz was thumping a bigger bible.

Well said!

I've noticed the past few weeks, that Cruz supporters are Cruz supporters because he talks about the Bible better than Trump.

These are the same delusional fools that think the reason Republicans have been losing for so long is because we're just not Bible enough!

To beat Liberalism, we need to proselytize to voters about the Bible and make constant references to the Constitution.

They really believe this.

Here is one example

Ted Cruz could have nipped same sex marriage in the bud. When he had the chance to really do something he took a pass.

Ted Cruz: Anti-Gay Marriage Crusader? Not Always

Yall are not doing your do diligence by vetting Cruz.

CNN reported that Carson was dropping out last night. You need to ask CNN where they got it.

EVERYONE was talking about it after CNN said that.
