If Trump does come in second we will get a chance to see what kind of “loser” he is (if you can call 2nd losing). I hope he handles it with grace - please Trump - handle it with grace!!

It’s disturbing because if it is democrat inspired, they will pump the guy they think they can beat

Even with a malignant wrinkled unindicted felon or an old hippie Marxist

Thanks Nana

I have been reading the threads and listening now and then to CNN in the background - thought Trump would be doing better - fingers crossed (I was going to say and prayers up, but I’m not sure it’s appropriate to pray for that).

O’Malley is suspending his campaign (I’m shocked!/s)

I’d be glad for Cruz in first or second....even third.....but he’s worked it very hard in Iowa so nice to see that pay off.

I am for Cruz, I have avoided just about every thread recently because of the insane cult of Trump. I have no desire to make myself a target of the nasty name calling. I am lurking tonight. I have seen a lot of elections and consider Iowa an indicator of who will drop out; not who will win. I am glad Cruz is winning just because I hope that things will tone down around here. I fear that it will not.

I lean toward Trump since he has been the only one willing to take the Clintons head on. Trump was the one willing to bring up Bubba’s rapes and sexual assaults, and it stopped the Clintons like a deer in the headlights.

I also like Cruz. I hope he is eligible to be President. I wish he would have spared us all the potential anxiety and gotten an official court ruling. I like him a lot, but I think he is vulnerable on this.

In any event, I hope whoever wins the nomination has the guts to take on the Clintons. It will not be easy to beat them. As Trump has shown, it takes courage, a willingness to go beyond political correctness, and some unpredictable tactics.

It will also take a united front. Any GOP candidate would be better than Hillary Clinton. For the sake of our country, we will need to fall in behind whoever wins the GOP nomination.

Reagan used to say we are always one election away from losing the country. This is that election.

I have no basis for this other then hunch. I suspect slightly Trump and Cruz are doing a covert tag team to divide and conquer the enemy. It sure would explain some wierdness . THe game being they go after each other and do stupid but intentional blunders to level the polls out so they are roughly even. This way they suck all the attention . When Trump ditched Fox, that let Ted step up. Ted then mentions Donald first thing and immediatley sucks the other candidates thunder. Just a crazy hunch but that explains the birther attacks and Dons healthcare remarks. THey adjust until they are even roughly. The media and establishment are distracted between the two which one they hate more all the while one will get thru.

.
No,Cruz has Hillary in all the big states but NY, by a solid margin.

He will be solid in the general election, he doesn’t need NY since he has CA.

It did hurt him. Hopefully not fatally in terms of the nomination.

[Rubites?]

Every IOWA GOP-e was rounded up and herded to the caucuses. They didn’t have enough to put RUBIO over the top.

Cruz leading 28-24 with 67% reporting.

I think Cruz looks strong and will probably win.
