Yes, it's going to be a late night before we get definitive results. But if the turnout is unusually large, we'll likely hear about it starting around 7:30pm ET as it will definitely get noticed if parking lots start filling up early.
I believe Drudge scooped everybody last time around. I would put his site in a separate tab and keep an eye on it.

Back in December we were asked to give our predictions for Iowa. Mine looks a bit ugly now, but I’ll take be a man and stick with it:
1. Cruz
2. Rubio
3. Trump
4. Santorum
5. Huckabee

Since the beginning, it seems that Trump has consistently been a couple steps ahead of each issue. I hope he has this possibility covered. He will not stand for that. Lawsuits from here to eternity — and not just suing the campaign; it’ll be personal.
Tell me about it...it's disgusting. Every Fox anchor and analyst seems to be reading off the exact same script, claiming massive momentum toward Rubio, that everybody they talk to on the streets of Iowa are switching from Trump and Cruz to Rubio. Then they drag out Frank Luntz and his paid actors playing the role of a focus group to parrot they same line, they are all switching to Rubio because Trump and Cruz are too mean, dishonest, whatever. Funny thing is Rubio hasn't budged in any of the recent polls....
They can be really entertaining. This thread is going to rock and roll tonight!

I see cumulative totals as Trump 56%, Cruz 40%.
I think I see 1/31 incremental totals as Trump 67%, Cruz 27%.
Don’t see any trending graphs so I can’t tell if yesterday’s much wider margin was an anomaly or a trend.
Trump 37 Cruz 29 Rubio 19 ...
Sanders 49 Clinton 47 ...
