The Baby Jesus, Tom Turkey and Cupid are about to be given the heave-ho at a Minnesota elementary school to be more inclusive of their ethnically diverse student population.
Bruce Vento Elementary School, in St. Paul, has decided to stop celebrating Valentineâs Day along with other âdominant holidaysâ including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Don’t forget the teachers’ wage and benefit negotiations which always begin three days before school starts, causing schools to open two weeks late and keeping the kids there until the end of June.
Luckily, I haven’t had that happen...yet.
But I did forget the constant complaining about low wages, IN CLASS....and at parent/teacher conferences.
AMEN, but they don't stay where they belong....we MUST stop tolerating immigrants seeking , not to assimilate, but to bring their failed religious and political views to surpass ours.....Assimilate under OUR conditions of go home.
When I was in first and second grade, in the mid fifties, we had total May Day celebrations at my elementary school in Abington, Pa. , complete with Maypoles. After I moved to NJ at the beginning of the third grade, May Day became Playday ... and no Maypoles.
So I say, long live May Day, and screw the Commies.
It’s some kind of school that you don’t really have to attend, but do get a genuine diploma which is recognized by some entities.
