CRUZ HITS TRUMP ON HEALTH CARE - AND HE'S KIND OF RIGHT - Locked in a close battle in Iowa, Ted Cruz is turning to health care in an attempt to separate himself from rival Donald Trump. A brutal ad airing in Iowa links "HillaryCare" and "ObamaCare" with "TrumpCare" - and uses Trump's own words against him.
"Everybody's got to be covered, this is an un-Republican thing for me to say," the ad quotes Trump saying on 60 Minutes last fall. "[And] the government's gonna pay for it."
Cruz pushed this message further on several Sunday shows. "A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for ObamaCare," Cruz claimed on Meet The Press. "Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have the identical position on health care. Which is they want to put the government in charge of you and your doctor. Now my views are polar opposites."
- TrumpCare remains vaguely defined. Trump called Cruz a "total liar" and declared, "I am so against Obamacare." But the thing is, Trump has repeatedly reiterated his commitment to some form of universal coverage - just as Cruz suggests. However, we still don't know any specifics of a Trump health plan, or how he'd pay for it.
Pressed again on Sunday, he still refused to offer details. "We'll work something out," Trump said on ABC's This Week. "Nobody knows health care better than Donald Trump."

No, I don’t think that number is correct. According to the story that I linked to is over $3,055,990.95. I know facts and figures won’t change your mind, but I do strive for accuracy. The motives are not all sunshine and unicorns.

Me too. Wish we had a conservative leader with the worldly experience, savvy and balls to take on the media and the establishment without having to worry about political correctness.
Someone made the point the other day that Trump can do this because he doesn’t have to worry about getting re-elected to his government office.

Well, both candidates talk about taking on establishment and in Iowa that means crony ethanol subsidies.
The conservative was courageous, the other guy not so much.

Obamacare’s main component was expanding Medicaid. Only a court ruling allowed states to opt out of that. Republican governors were lambasted for caving into the expansion anyway. Is Trump going to keep that expanded Medicaid component of Obamacare?
So if we don't support big welfare government programs, we're throwing granny off the cliff? Way to adopt the language of the leftist socialist Democrats. This country is going bankrupt because of expanding entitlement programs. One of the main points of being conservative is to stop those programs. It's not a job for government. Private charities should be handling anyone who needs charitable assistance.
P. 72 - I don't hink a single-payer system makes sense anymore. If I did I would say it; I would't need anyone else to say it for me. Maybe a single-payer system works in other countries.
P. 75 As I've said, I'd like to see a private insurance system without artificial lines drawn between states. We need to get rid of those lines and let people and companies cross state lines to purchase the best plan for them. The government should get out of the way and let insurance companies compete for your business.

Probably some kind of welfare insurance is needed for the uninsured where they chase those with money or assets if they drop out of nowhere at the emergency ward.
Truth... His statement about the govt paying for it, is inconsistent with shopping across state lines.. Since 2000 this has been a trump tenet. It sure makes all the democrats lined up with him, happy.. Cause all they had was Bernie n Hillary until... They installed trump as his usual faux conservative.
