I was born in El Paso. There is no worse place to be than around the border. It’s all illegals and descendants of illegals, so they are all liberal. And people there live off of taxpayers primarily. Even when Texas was an economic powerhouse, El Paso was sucking in the tax dollars.
Misleading headline. Besides some gratuitous Trump bashing, here are the money lines:
“I told him it was not practical,” Saenz[Laredo’s mayor] said of the wall. “I told him aside from it being offensive to Mexico, which is our second- or third-largest trading partner, the cost is impractical, and it’s not practical inside Texas, where the Rio Grande sometimes throughout the year is a source of drinking water for livestock.”
“We’re a ranching community,” Saenz said. “What are you going to do — dam the tributaries?
“He did change his tone a little bit,” Saenz said. “He did say maybe the wall is not appropriate for the entire border and certain sections are not conducive for that.”
Does it sound like Trump took his advise about abandoning the wall because it’s offensive to Mexicans or because ‘Mexico won’t pay for it’? The most you could say is that he made Trump aware of some of the issues regarding water for ranchers. That’s certainly a problem that could be addressed without abandoning the wall. There’s nothing in this article that Trump hasn’t been saying publicly for months.
You can come out with better rumor.
Currently, Canada Ted is trending more than Canada Dry.
Gaps in the wall will be good places to set up ambushes. The sport will never end at such places.

So this “intervue” was last October. Lots of water under th bridge since then. Sounds as if Laredo is totally Mexicn so they don’t want the border closed. Just another attempt by the poster to hit on Trump. Won’t work.
Mexico can afford pumping stations to move water where appropriate.

Obviously, the Laredo “mayor” believes that Trump is going to be elected President of the United States.
That’s the point...he gets down there and goes all soft on the wall, like a teddy bear.
Key phrases that demonstrate the disingenuousness of noth the headline and the poster:

A pleading question, with a lot of qualifiers in the response - second hand at that.
Another lame attempt at toppling Trump, made by Cruz’s Cartel of desperadoes.

As a current resident, I confirm this 100%. It is hell on earth and doesn’t remotely resemble America. You can go weeks without hearing English. And that scum Cruz passes out teddy bears and soccer balls with Beck.
El Paso is the future of America: massive amounts of unskilled, overweight illegals refusing to speak English.
Trump went all weak-kneed. Instead of saying hell no, the wall is not negotiable, your illegals are going to have to go back, he’s like maybe you guys have a point, and by the way is it safe to go outside, maybe I should just stay in here fellas.
His going to mop floor the floor in Iowa with Donald and his big orange hairpiece. Perhaps he will sip some Canada Dry while reading Donald’s total meltdown on twitter when it’s all over.
