ABC ^

Posted on 01/29/2016 11:35:04 AM PST by TigerClaws

Three days ahead of the Iowa caucuses,Donald Trump, the front-runner for the GOP nomination, today attacked Sen. Ted Cruz again for being born in Canada.

"Now, Ted Cruz may not be a U.S. citizen. Right? But he's an anchor baby in Canada. No, he's an anchor baby. Ted Cruz is an anchor baby in Canada," Trump said today at his event in Nashua, New Hampshire.

He also said the Texas senator got “pummeled last night" at the GOP presidential debate.

“They didn’t even mention he was born in Canada,” Trump lamented.

Trump is doing what the left-wing nut Soros people would do. That way, He is FULLY VETTED, not just endorsed by Trump.

You are delusional. Trump is out to win any way he can, and has chosen to try and destroy his closest rival by saying he isn't constitutionally qualified to be president. There is no vetting involved here. No hope that the courts will rule and Trump can offer the VP spot to Cruz. Trump is just being Trump, and the only good to come out of this is that it should put the nonsense of a Trump/Cruz ticket to rest once and for all. At least I'd thought that until your post.

To date Trump has been effective because he's been able to personalize his attacks. He will no longer be able to do that once he's the only target. When the crap is coming from all directions from faceless sources.

That together with his very high negatives IMO he will have a very difficult time.

Anyway we shall see.

I guess Trump is an anchor baby for a Scot.

What a lie, and you now it.

Trumps Scottish mother became a US Citizen before Trump was born....but you can keep repeating your lies if it makes you feel better.

They both haven’t. Cruz released some kind of document about his mother.

“Trump should release everything he demands others release. That’s only fair and I’m a Trump fan.”

He already has.

Having an American in the white house who knows business instead of a Kenyan Muslim punk bastard?

Exactly right! We're all towel headed out - and so is our country.

All that you say about Trump may very well be true. But I come back to my points:

1) Trump isn’t doing it to be mean... he’s doing it to win.

2) If Cruz can overcome, then he will be battle hardened for the general election.

3) If Cruz can’t even convince enough Republicans to reject Trump’s attack, then how can he possibly win a general election?

And #3 is really the bottom line. For all those who see Trump as a Democrat... if *any* Republican can’t beat a Democrat in the Republican primary, then the country is already toast.

The other possibility is that Trump is not as much of a Democrat as some people think. And if he takes the nomination, I pray for that possibility, because I rightly don’t know how pliable his convictions are.

But I will give him these points of credit:

1) He knows how to play hardball to win (which the Republicans sorely need)

2) He relishes political incorrectness (which the country sorely needs)

3) His strategy and tactics are very unconventional, but have produced amazing results for his campaign (any successful Republican will need such a trait).

A bastard is a bastard. Kenyan punks don’t hold the patent.

I’m not calling him names. I’m describing him the way he acts. I’m not running for president, so what I think and what I do is irrelevant. But I do not think DT’s behavior is very presidential.

I may be a lot of things. But I would not duck out of an important presidential debate on the eve of an important caucus merely because I have a wild hair up my behind over one of the debate moderators. This guy is so petty, it isn’t even funny.

You can never underestimate the stupidity of the American electorate.

This line is accurate, but I don't know about the preceding one.

“They both haven’t. Cruz released some kind of document about his mother.”

Trump released his birth certificate in 2011. Cruz released his mother’s birth certificate. Big deal.

When you applied for a driver’s license, did you use your mother’s birth certificate? What kind of birth documentation has Cruz been using all these years? He claimed he did not know he was a Canadian citizen.

He is starting to remind me of Ted Turner in that nutty, manic clown sort of way. Except Trump is more of an angry buffoon than a clown.

“Except Trump is more of an angry buffoon than a clown.”

That kind of talk amazes me. How many buffons do you know who have accomplished what Trump has?

You evidently do not consider yourself a buffoon. How does your accomplishments stack up to Trump?

“... Trump is more of an angry buffoon than a clown.”

I guess some people like the idea of having someone like him as Commander In Chief. I know I don’t.

These attacks boil down to an attack on Cruz's mother. How unpatriotic of her to give birth where she worked.

I wouldn't ... on Trump if he was on fire.

It is of no importance that Donald is media savvy. We all know the media lies, don’t need the Donald’s help with that as fun as it is to watch.

Did it ever occur to anyone that Donald is manipulating the constituency? All of you who think “The Art of the Deal” is only used on “other” people?

We need a President, not a car salesman.

The guy was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. It's easy to become a developer when you begin with $200 million in the bank.

I have 100 times more respect for the immigrant couple in my town who built a real estate business from scratch, beginning by painting houses.

Besides, Trump never offers anything insightful. He speaks in childish slogans. And he behaves like a child in almost every respect.
