Donald Trump goes on raging tweetstorm about Megyn Kelly and the 'total disaster' debate

Real-estate mogul Donald Trump called the coming Fox News-hosted Republican debate a "total disaster" and shared a Twitter user's post that called Fox News host Megyn Kelly a "bimbo" during a raging series of tweets hours before he was set to boycott the Thursday-night debate.

"The 'debate' tonight will be a total disaster — low ratings with advertisers and advertising rates dropping like a rock. I hate to see this," the Republican presidential front-runner wrote.

The real-estate tycoon had told Fox host Bill O'Reilly on Wednesday night that he hoped Fox did "well," even though he said the network would "make much less" money without him on stage.

Trump also continued his assault on Kelly, with whom he has feuded for months.

One tweet, which Trump promoted on his account Thursday morning, attacked Kelly for a GQ Magazine photo shoot and labeled her a "bimbo."

"And this is the bimbo that's asking presidential questions?" the tweet said. The user attached two photos from the shoot with text that read, "Criticizes Trump for objectifying women ... Poses like this in GQ Magazine."

The candidate shared the post a day after he had said he wouldn't refer to Kelly as a "bimbo," a term used to insult women, because doing so would "not be politically correct."

Trump drew some backlash last year when he twice promoted tweets calling Kelly a "bimbo." One of the times Trump retweeted the insult was after Kelly, a moderator at an August debate, confronted him about past comments he had made about women's looks.

I think he could get lots of votes if he jumps in.

I live in NJ and work in NY. He is a leftist. He is the one that instituted the 16 ounce drink maximum. He is Nanny One of nanny-statism. No way he is taking votes from Trump. All his votes will come from people who already love Sanders.

I keep thinking there is more to this story. Someone was rejected by someone — hmmmm//// “scorned woman” comes to mind.

Really?

Given that Kelly is pretty much a carbon copy of Donalds 3 wives, it seems likely that scorned man would be more apt.

Yeah, they all need to grow up! And he must feel the need to defend/stand up for himself each time.

This may be the meltdown people warned about. Then again, it may not. Either way, his most rabid supporters will have no trouble explaining it.

Trump is right about his supporters' loyalty.

But his opponents are equally dug in, and he has negatives in the stratosphere.

Trump is always 2 steps ahead of the media.

He pulled the rug from under both the GOPe and the self-absorbed and self-appointed “conservative” intelligencia, that through itself at McCain and Romney like a high school boy in puppy love.

Agreed — but Trump thought he had this thing sewed up, if it was Sanders and Hillary. Imagine how ticked he is that FOX NEWS is the one provoking and supporting BLOOMBERG!! Murdoch actually tweets little love notes to Bloomberg trying to get him to jump in the race!!

He avoided the trap Fox and Kelly had set and cost them millions in revenue. CNN is carrying his event tonight and I think it will draw a vary large audience. Political negotiating and business negotiating are two different things. You can tell political negotiating - that’s when the GOPe loses.

If Bloomberg ran as a democrat, he would be formidable. Is there a path for him to do that, realistically?

As a 3rd party candidate he only helps Republicans... and that is very realistic.

What if -— and this is a big if — Hillary had to drop out? Would it be a Bloomberg-Warren ticket?

Another supporter of lying corrupt media?

Apparently you never figure out you’re being hoodwinked and lied to repeatedly over and over, year after year. And Trump is supposed to back off?

Right.

How does Bloomberg get the nomination? I am asking seriously.

They just give it to him at the convention?

Donna Trump sounds like he's got a little sand in his vagina.

You mean Bloody Megyn did, twisting her legs while doing that nasty GQ Magazine shoot. She thought that was sexy? You don't see bona fide reporters like the well-established Greta Van Susteren demeaning herself to get ahead; Bloody Megyn obviously got a head by devious methods.
