The rumors are swirling... Two Republican candidates reportedly called Donald Trump and said they wanted to attend his veterans fundraiser tonight at Drake University.

Most likely Cruz and Paul.
Cruz does not want to be center stage tonight for a Trap and Paul is probably still ticked off by the last debate. Plus he looks weak coming up since Trump left.

Cruz was stupid to ever start a fight with him.
He did not get a knocckout punch like Rand Pour Jeb Bush but he certainly screwed up the possibility of a Trump/Cruz ticket

I love Cruz too, but Trump is going to cause a landslide, and then we get Cruz anyways. Think long-term.
Jim Gilmore will be debating with himself... or maybe Snarly Carly. I don’t see her joining Trump, unless she is really that desperate for attention (which she usually is).

Not Paul. He’s blasted Trump for not attending the debate, saying that his absence will raise the IQ of the event.

I don;t think it is Cruz or Paul. If it were Cruz Donald would have said so, and Paul really viscerally hates Trump and finally got a seat at the big boy table for this debate he wouldn’t throw it away.
I am betting Huckabee and Kaisich.
Huckabee and Santorum were suggested by a NYT article.
So what? It would still give the event extra credibility. I hope they jump on board and the event creams Fox in the ratings. Not because I am a Trump supporter (I'm a Cruz man) but because I want to see someone shake up this phony "beat up on the leading Republican" inquisition we call debates and if that guy ends up being Trump then more power to him. I still remember the Candy Crowley incident quite well and I'm still steamed about it.
He came out and criticized Trump hard for skipping the debate ... he will look like a total idiot if he skips it too.
He should of kept his mouth shut ... it was a political blunder ...
After getting the slap down at the last debate, from Trump and Rubio, he should be concentrating on HIS plans ... not what the others are up to ...
