In the world of Jeb Bush, the campaign for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination has at times been a whirl of private planes and high-end affairs, according to the federal filings of Bush’s campaign and his Super PAC, Right to Rise, which can raise unlimited funds for Bush as long as it does not coordinate directly with him.
It is not unusual for U.S. presidential candidates to fly private or even sometimes stay in luxury hotels. But some disgruntled donors say they are unhappy with Bush's large outlays, which also include big spending on staff and tens of millions of dollars in ad buys.
Eleven of 16 major donors contacted by Reuters questioned whether it was money well spent, especially given how the one-time frontrunner has stumbled badly in the polls and is now facing questions about whether he should withdraw from the race.

"There is no return on investment on the Bush ad buys, zero," said one high-dollar donor who asked not to be named, pointing to how the ads have done little, at least so far, to lift Bush in the polls or dent his opponents.
On Sunday, donors will learn just how much Bush has spent from his $100 million-plus warchest. That's when Republican and Democratic candidates and their Super PACs release their latest campaign finance reports.

I’m really glad Jeb is crashing but this is a silly article. Of course he spent money on ads. Of course he spent money wooing donors. You don’t run a residential campaign using southwest airlines.
I hope he enjoys his fall into obscurity.
I don't get these deep-pocket donors. Why are they giving to the campaign while the Bush family isn't? Could it be more obvious when it comes to their family, it's all about them? We never hear how much money they have or how much they've sold their soul to Saudi friends, etc. It must be massive.

Bush has no problem it seems wasting other peoples money, it is more than evident he would have no problems wasting tax dollars. I read the other day he was having a big fund raiser in Texas, what is astonishing to me is how people could continue to throw away their money, unless they know something that is not obvious to the average American.
This I do know the country is currently under the control of what I refer to as the Progressive Liberal/Rino Communist Uni-Party of which Bush is an elite member, and they will stop at nothing to secure that control and I do mean NOTHING! Every nefarious tactic men can devise will be on the table.
The Uni-Party has spent decades corrupting every aspect of the political process, particularly the election process and they did so for just such a time as this when their power and control will be markedly challenged.
The question is will this be the last Gig for Mike Murphy, the PAC Manager?
Jeb Bush is living in a bizarre alternative reality where the very rich can buy votes outright. In truth, he has only about 30,000 core supporters, almost all of whom are very wealthy. As a group they (including those who are not American) are so utterly contemptuous of Americans, that they assume we are “ignorant masses”, easily swayed by propaganda and advertisement. That we do not listen, hear, and understand. “The great unwashed.” For if we did, why are we not wealthy corporate internationalists, like them?
And that is the other HUGE problem. The GOP-e, RINOs, liberal Republicans, Country Club Republicans, Whigs, whatever you want to call them, find common cause with the internationalist socialist Democrats, against patriotic, nationalist conservatives.
In truth they despise Democrats as feeble minded throwbacks to the failed, 19th Century pseudo-religion of socialism, modeled off of organized crime syndicates in its US iteration. But they agree with them in the importance of internationalism: not for a socialist world, but for what these Republicans want, a corporatist plutocracy, where the world is run by wealthy corporations. As society of two classes: the ultra wealthy, and the peasant workers.
They like the idea of some aspects of socialism. Those that save corporations money by taxing the common man to pay for their own health care (nationalized medicine) and retirement (Social Security). Solely so that corporations do not have to pay for these things.
They are even comfortable with the illusion of Republican Democracy, that the foolish public can be limited to a choice between internationalist socialists and internationalist plutocrats. Yet they understand that what they want is extremely vulnerable to patriotic, nationalist conservatism, which they strongly oppose and connive to defeat at every opportunity, mostly by joining with the internationalist socialists against us.
Which puts to the lie their sneering contempt for us. Because we know if they can just be wrenched from power, the gigantic and corrupt edifice they have built with the Democrats can and will be torn down: most of Phase II, which began with the New Deal; and even parts of Phase I, which came about at the start of “progressivist movement” at the turn of the 20th Century.
We have given them a powerful blow to the body by systematically taking out some of their more dedicated Republican politicians, but many remain. Yet with each one gone, they are hard pressed to find replacements also skilled in connivance, duplicity, yet able to be reelected and focused on their agenda.
Eventually they will not be able to stop us. And without their protection, the Democrats will get resounding punishment for the harm they have done our nation.

It’s very simple: They see the expenditure as a good investment for they will get many, many more dollars in return if he is elected. That is the game that the GOPe has always played.
He is a “team player” and “rows the boat with the rest of them” and is not “a bomb thrower” and all of the rest of the sayings that describe a “go along to get along” player.
To have him as President ensures that the “good ole boy” networks stays in place and everyone benefits “financially” from it.

Sorry, even were I to try, I wouldn’t be able to summon any sympathy for these big donors, because all were damn foolish to invest in the likes of John Ellis Bush.
It doesn’t take a genius to know that even the thought of a third Bush presidency within the span of forty years isn’t going to be widely popular!
Trump is right. Jeb is low energy. Was Jeb coaxed into running to please Poppy or was he promised the nomination because 2016 was his turn?
Jebbie, of course, has had the full support of the big money people who are invested in big government and keeping the gravy train running. They cringe at the thought of a conservative who will do what he says, reduce the size and intrusiveness of government and shut the borders.
Jebbie, with $100 million under his belt, said he would “win without the base [conservatives], being a message to the donor class that he was fully committed to the continued importation of millions of foreigners to displace American workers and the continued growing of the government. It appears the base had other ideas.
Instead of listening to Francisco d'Anconia, they believed the nonsense James Taggart (Jeb) was throwing out.
