Why Are Trump Haters So Angry About the Debate?(Vanity)
Today | Self

Posted on 01/27/2016 7:29:33 PM PST by DouglasKC

One can't help but notice that there is a strong contingent of what can only be described as people who hate the idea of Donald Trump being President. It's descended into outright personal hatred by some.

But wow...ever since he announced that he wouldn't be doing the debate it's gone up to a whole new level.

My question is...why?? The main insult of detractors now seems to be "Oooh...Trump can't handle questions from a girl how's he going to handle (FILL IN THE BLANK DESPOT)?" Or Trump is afraid of Cruz. Or Trump is afraid to debate.

Now if these things are so easy to discern then shouldn't these folks be outrageously happy? If this is going to hurt Trump so much and make him look so bad shouldn't they be encouraging him to stay out of the debate instead of trying to goad him into it?

Is there any way that any people who don't support Trump can admit that this is a brilliant political move? His one announcement has given him at least 48 hours of wall to wall Trump coverage. He's backed FOX into a corner and made advertisers angry at FOX. He was sure to be the main target of all the candidates AND at least one moderator...but now all the other candidates are going to be gunning for Ted Cruz instead. So he's letting the other candidates try to take out Cruz and he doesn't have to lift a finger.

Now don't get me wrong I love Cruz and IF he could get elected I would love a President Cruz. Cruz is a fighter BUT he's not a leader. And that's the big difference. Trump is a fighter AND a leader.

So if skipping this debate is bad for Trump then why the hyper vitriol?

Because they know that, strategically, it was a brilliant move.

Concur.

I haven’t see any Trump haters, but I have seen 60% of the voters choose anybody but Trump.

Trump is a coward.

Many people confuse reaction with leadership.

Cowards lack courage of moral conviction. Trump tends to react rather than respond to adversity. He tends to react by bolstering himself, whether he claims the attack is true and he is defiantly weak or by counterattacking, but he tends to focus on how to defeat his adversary, rather than how to perform righteously and justly.

He frequently doesn’t tend to think through faith in Christ.

His followers are impressed by his emotive reactions, rather than calm collective response with the courage to remain faithful.

Because Mr Single Payor 2000 is their guy.. Sure he is scared of a girl and hiding from unfairness behind wounded veterans. It’s a Two Corinthians thing. They would rather stick with a crony capitalist, progressive than truly stand with a constitutionalist like Cruz.. They can’t pull the lever for a Christian. After hearing Teds father talk about Cuba and Castro, I can’t help but like him more than someone whose Dady loaned him a what? Million dollars? He sounds more like Chelsea Clinton, than everyday Americans. Driving a car is a luxury to him? What?

I am just gobsmacked at all the people who want or trust a 'strongman' to restore their Liberty.

And just what what kind of help do you expect from a "weakman"?

We've had them too.

I don't expect a 'strongman' to deliver my Liberty.

Typical 'strongmen':

Khadaffi

Assad

Saddam Hussein

Joe Stalin

Benito Mussolini

Tito

Mohammed

Need I go on?

The people we have been dealing with haven't been strong men for the most part, they have just sold us out to retain their positions or for lucre. It is their greed or narcissism that keeps them in power, their lust for control.

That the few who have kept the faith have been unable to accomplish anything when outnumbered by sellouts and the compromised comes as little surprise when so seriously outnumbered in a context of consensus.

Yet often it has been those individuals who preached a more placid approach who changed the world. Jesus of Nazareth, Budda, and Ghandi, to name three, were not those who denigrated those around them so much as proceeded with strength and led by example.

Who will be remembered in another thousand years?

It's killing you isn't it?

Well I don't give a rat's a$$...but I am enjoying the heck out of watching the Trump-bots trying to 'splain it away.

I agree. It's funny as heck, although they are getting a bit boring because they are so predictable.

Sounds like you’ve got anger issues other than Trump...You do realize that name-calling does nothing for your credibility, don’t you??

I see you haven’t been on FR very long...There is no need for the attitude you have taken from my simple question...

An unofficial fourth branch of government...

The "fourth branch" has become the fifth column

A conservative site where the founder supports Trump and Cruz Like me and most reasonable people here

This is where I stand as well. I support both of them and hope with all my heart that one of them gets the nomination and then asks the other to be his running mate. If we had the Trump the Bulldozer aligned with the Cruz the Constitutionalist, our country could finally get headed in the right direction.

This circular firing squad has gotten really old.

So if skipping this debate is bad for Trump then why the hyper vitriol?

Because skipping the debate is good for Trump - thus the hyper vitriol.

1. They know without Trump these liberal shark tanks Fox puts on are nothing but a put on and no one will watch.

2. They want to take shots at Trump, proving these are not debates, but liberal attack squads.

Sorry for the late reply, but I’m afraid you’re right. People are going to get burned by Trump, just like they do by most politicians.

Trump is Obama, all over again. Not in the crazy liberal sense, but in the emotional, cult of personality sense. (Just watch, I’ll be called names for saying this — pure emotion). Conservatives (no doubt, TRUE Conservatives), are picking a candidate base on emotion, not principles. It’s honestly scary.

Trump is going to be another FDR. Temporarily good for the country, huge power trip, long-term failure.

I’ve NEVER heard Trump mention the words Liberty, Private Property Rights, States Rights, etc. He’s a Nationalist, hence “Make America (the nation) Great Again.” We’re not even supposed to have a national government, just a federal government only with the powers specifically enumerated in the Constitution.

We conservatives are so desperate for a change, that we’re following in the footsteps of history (Germany, Argentina, Russia, Venezuela, Cuba, etc). Our country as founded was finished years ago...

Even if, in the end, Trump does well for this country, after 4 or 8 years we’ll be right back where we started, or worse. Trump has no interest in implementing or fixing the Constitution as envisioned by the States (who CREATED the Federal Government!)
