Nice HUGE picture. Try using percentage spacing to make it fit into whatever screen the user has, like this...

There’s nothing wrong with your post, other than the fact that some fervent Trump supporters don’t want to think about.

Mainly, that their strong “republican” candidate has made conservative principles and governance criteria, irrelevant from this campaign on.
Both Bush presidents and recent congressional majority leaders moved the Republicans perilously leftward.
Trump’s nomination and possible election will ensure Uniparty dominance once and for all.
After all, a candidate’s long time liberal history, associations, and actions don’t matter, as long as re-brands as a conservative-on-some-things republican - right?

Thank you for the post.

If people don’t like it, they should explain why.

Otherwise they can explain what the agree.

Does this mean I hate Cruz? nope, no one bit. I respect Cruz, but the hard truth is I don’t believe he could win in the general election and even if he did I don’t believe he could accomplish anything as he would allow himself to be pushed around by a coalition of the left and RINO’s that Trump would mow right over.

Well said and ditto

The author seems to kind of admire Trump.
They think he is destroying conservatism and they tend to admire totalitarianism.
I think that is their take, not necessarily mine.
Time would tell IF he wins.

What is wrong with my post?

1. Unnecessarily short excerpt/tease
2. Source is Salon.com - a notoriously leftist rant site
3. Appears to be either anti-conservative or anti-Trump or possibly even both, which would rile up both of the major factions dividing FR these days, but neither side will want to give Salon the click to read more.

Yes, Trump = Uniparty. Of course!

That's why they are stepping over themselves to support him. The elites...our betters, outwitting us flyover rubes...yet again!

You do understand that people - “conservatives” and “evangelics” want Trump because if he manages to actually rescind any of Obama’s executive orders or get rid of Obama’s and leftwing people in government positions or actually downsize any part of the government or do anything that benefits the American people and US sovereignty that will effectively make him the most effecatious conservative in the 20th and 21st centuries. Even Reagan kept all of Carter’s people and didn’t downsize or repeal anything and didn’t really follow through on his campaign promises.

Populism is an integral component of classical conservatism. A healthy, moral and Godly citizenry utimately creates a strong and balanced free market which allows for a reasonable profit and taxes and defense. Protect the middle class keep the republic.

This Im-poster has been here since 2004, and has either the audacity or ignorance to make an utterly untrue revisionist statement about a president who cleaned house, and lead one of the most successful presidencies.
From Carter’s 1976 - 1980 17% interest rate disaster, to Ronald Reagan’s economic boom in 1983 - 1988, and fall of the USSR.

I offer to personally pay for your ticket to the Reagan Museum and Academic Library , and invite you to ignorantly spew revisionist know nothing crap as your nose is rubbed in cabinet staff rosters, dept agency heads, Macro & Micro economic data, foreign policy briefings, and outcomes.
WTF is it with BLIND Trump supporter’s Messiah fixation.
Trump’s psychological and organizational behavior profile is so Eff’ed up, he would be unhirable as a Military Officer.
And you expect Mr. Reality Show short-on-details man to serve as our Military Commander-in-Chief?
Really?

Actually I’ve been around since 1997 but somehow my account got banned for a few years and resigned up in 2004 when I was able to. Never figured out why.

So are you announcing that Sheapdog is an Im-poster - not a conservative for desecrating some people’s sacred cow - President Reagan. I had a university professor freak out on me for touching his hero Eisenhower once also. I just don’t believe Reagan was as conservative as his reputation suggests. His cabinet and many around him were in the dozens of handpicked CFR globalist sympathizers and it was business as usual for the most part. Yeah there were some good things Reagan said and did. He was much like Eisenhower in this regard. Maybe if it were up to Reagan he would have had it otherwise and maybe he had no choice in these matters. His initial team included John J. McCloy who was a consummate insider and globalist since WWII. I looked at a few of your posts and you seem to acknowledge the creation of a NWO or a globalist plot by a power elite. If that makes me an Imposter or a kook that is not a conservative by some people’s delineation okay. Just don’t lump me in with every crazy conspiracy theorist and anti-semitic spiritually blinded fool because I don’t support what in my mind is a rhino or what to me is a treasonous internationalist/ globalist.
I have no illusions about Trump. He could turn out to be a huge mistake and continue the US on the path the establishment has laid out for decades. I think there are many similarities between Reagan and Trump.

Enjoy the day!

Hey, The Ghost of FReepers Past, I have a question for you.

Why is there an eight year gap in your posting history from 3/31/2008 until 1/27/2016, when you suddenly started posting again and posting nothing but anti-Trump stuff, pro-Cruz stuff, and attacking Trump supporters?

Could it be that the Cruz campaign has clearly been hacking dormant FR accounts and using them to attack Trump with accounts that have old establishment dates to hide the fact that they’re actually FR noobs?
