Full statement on Trump declining to participate in Fox News/Google Debate
Fox News ^ | January 27, 2016 | Fox News

As many of our viewers know, FOX News is hosting a sanctioned debate in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday night, three days before the first votes of the 2016 election are cast in the Iowa Caucus. Donald Trump is refusing to debate seven of his fellow presidential candidates on stage that night, which is near unprecedented.

We’re not sure how Iowans are going to feel about him walking away from them at the last minute, but it should be clear to the American public by now that this is rooted in one thing – Megyn Kelly, whom he has viciously attacked since August and has now spent four days demanding be removed from the debate stage. Capitulating to politicians’ ultimatums about a debate moderator violates all journalistic standards, as do threats, including the one leveled by Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski toward Megyn Kelly.

FOX News has gone off the deep end, not Trump.

Yep, all has to do with Megyn Kelly and nothing to do with the completely unprofessional and biased press release by FoxNews. Good Job FoxNews. Keep making yourself look stupid.

Looses some of the effect when Fox takes all the snarky comments out, doesn’t it?

So Michael Moore is on the GOPe team now. Interesting-going after ‘rat votes in the MS run-off to defeat a conservative, being defended by one of the most despicable leftists ever to breathe, being complicit (not just “givng in”, but happily complying) in the left’s agenda, etc.

Google and Fox TV Invite Anti-Trump Muslim Advocate to Join Next GOP TV-Debate

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3389018/posts

Fox News and Google have invited three YouTube personalities to ask questions at the Jan. 28 GOP debate - including a Muslim advocate who describes Donald Trump as a bigot and who visually portrayed him as being in agreement with national socialist Adolf Hitler.

“We have a presidential candidate whose loudest message reeks of hatred and Islamophobia... turning on the news now is scary, and oftentimes, humiliating,” the Muslim woman, Nabela Noor, says in a December YouTube video.

While I’ve been on the fence about Trump, I’ve got to admit that I admire this position. From Candy Crowley, to George Steph, to Megan Kelly…it’s about time someone stood up to the favoritism, straw man questions and incessant badgering done by a supposedly impartial “press” all in the name of improving their industry cred. Good for Donald. I bet his numbers go up after this.

After watching totally biased debate moderators over the last 2 election cycles I’ve wondered why the ePubs continue to damage themselves by submitting to the abuse inflicted upon them by the likes of Candy Crowley and Megyn Kelly. It has become so predictable - nothing of substance talked about but lots of attempts to create “gotcha” moments.

Finally, Trump stood up to this. There have already been too many debates and at this point having 2 candidates and 6 bozos on stage is a waste of time.

A good debate would be in the form of a 2 person “dialogue” between Trump and Cruz - moderated by a truly independent and skilled interviewer. Someone that may be non-traditional (from sports maybe) but that is smart and engaging / can keep the two from getting nasty with each other.

It’s not just about Kelly.

Trump won’t be a puppet in the Fox dog & pony show where they will be questioned by muslim activists and illegal immigrant stars from youtube.

FoxNews credibility is in the toilet. No mention of the taunt they released to Mediatite or whatever, which was the EXPRESS and WRITTEN reason Trump gave for bailing; and FoxNews claim of being threatened makes them out to be crybabies and liars.

Trump has turned this into Nominee Apprentice. It's his game; he plays it best. They've all been had....the proper response from Fox and the Wannabbees would be to embrace the opportunity to have a debate without Trump so we can concentrate on his rivals and determine which one is most capable of being the best President.

FWIW, this happened sometimes on Celebrity Apprentice. A strong candidate would have to be somewhere for a few days or even the whole week, and it was easier to assess the rest of them.

Mr. Trump can watch that debate and see if any one of them has VP potential.

That's my take, anyway.

The earlier press release from Fox News is going to leave a permanent scar on their credibility.

A news organization is supposed to pretend to be impartial — echoing opponent talking points in a press release?

They are nuts and totally unprofessional.

“...not sure how Iowans are going to feel about him walking away...”

This is an official statement from Fox? It should be a possessive in from of the gerund.

If your journalists are known to be fair, you don’t have this happen. Fox.

I love the fact that both Cruz and Trump have each called out the media repeatedly, and won the points. Their charges are true and have traction with conservatives.

I stopped watching Fox News a loooong time ago, but I do cruise through the Fox News website, and many others, each day just to maintain content of happenings going on. I’m not a big fan of Trump, but I love what he does to the media! Fox News, what ever the brain-dead libs say, is not a conservative organization. Just look at the Megyn Kelly/Michael Moore love fest interview from yesterday. Disgusting!
