URGENT REMINDER: Why Donald Trump Battles The Fox News Machine
http://theconservativetreehouse.com ^ | January 26

Posted on 01/26/2016 11:14:21 PM PST by Helicondelta

Given the current explosive development with Donald Trump most likely boycotting the Fox News Iowa debate, EVERYONE should remember the entire back story as we explained, researched and outlined it in September '15 ~ Also This UPDATE for recent context.

Trump is not just taking on the construct of progressive ideology that has undermined the essence of American exceptionalism; Trump is not just exposing the immense number of faux-conservatives in media and political punditry; Trump is not just allowing us to see the scope of anti-American interest; no, he's taking on the very selfish foundation they've used to sell out our country. Heck, he's taking on all the "Decepticons" simultaneously.

In many ways Fox's Roger Ailes and Republican Mitch McConnell carry the same ideological character trait, deception. For McConnell his deceptive ways allow him to retain power inside the DC construct. For Roger Ailes manipulation benefits his media dominance and political interests.

Neither McConnell nor Ailes can actually be trusted. However, we are only just beginning to understand the enormity and scope of the previously hidden betrayal.

It all boils down to a very familiar problem. Would you rather rid yourself of the schemer, manipulator and deceiver who claims to be your friend

I do not see how giving trump an easy target like a Islamic apologist was going to hurt him with his supporters.

This commentary by the Conservative Tree House nails it. It is a must read by my fellow patriots.

Hannity tried to call TRUMP all day long. TRUMP would take no calls from FOX, but Murdoch. He isn’t messing with Ailes or Kelly, or anyone else, but it’s Chairman of the Board to Chairman of the Board. Methinks Murdoch did not call, so TRUMP bolted.

Well grasshopper, while it is true McConnell is a liar, if you want to have any chance of working in the Senate, you tell him in private and not on the floor of the Senate.

Last year, Ailes signed a multiyear contract to remain chairman and CEO of Fox News and Fox Business Network. Sherman writes that it bothered Ailes when 21st Century Fox issued a press release clarifying that Ailes would be jointly reporting to Murdoch and his two sons, Lachlan and James, who were recently elevated to executive co-chairman and CEO, respectively.

“Since that stinging public rebuke, executives have noticed Rupert around the Fox News hallways. ‘He’s marking his territory,’ one person briefed on the matter told me,” Sherman writes. Sherman also writes that, since June, Murdoch has been attending Ailes’ “secretive afternoon” gatherings where “some of the most sensitive decisions about running the channel are discussed.”

I think the bottom line is will Trump boycotting the debate (if he does) affect his vote totals in the caucus?

I think it could lower his total.

Could very well be!

Personally, I think far better use of time would be to have Trump do an uninterrupted 2-hour Town Hall answering questions of Iowa voters with donation to Wounded Warriors...Win/Win for all. I am tired of these “stacked” debates!

Did you read the commentary by the Conservative Treehouse? Seems to me you just read the headline and posted a photo of Senator Orin Hatch, thinking it was Roger Ailes. The photo of Trump with his lips pursed was not even in the piece. Seems like the deceptions that the commentary was writing about.

I think you should read the commentary. It would be a good use of your time.

Could—probably depends on what Trump does...as I said in another post, if he does an uninterrupted 2-hour town hall with Iowa voters asking legit questions and makes a donation to Wounded Warriors, it probs. won’t hurt.

Frankly, I would welcome him doing this as opposed to stacked debate!

Yes! Perhaps his endorsers could share the two hours with him. Palin, Arapio, Fallwell, etc.

I saw a panel on CNN who were mentally masturbating over this deal. They claimed Ailes was dying, and FOX news would die with him. That made me wonder how many presidents CNN has gone through since Ailes and FOX News appeared and ate their lunch.

So, Trump supporters is it ok to call McConnell a liar or not?
____________

Trump did not think he should call McConnell a liar on the Senate floor. Not because it was true or not, but because it would make it hard for Cruz to get anything done after that. Do you think it helped Ted in the Senate?

I am not sticking up for McConnell, but calling a politician a liar is like calling water wet, IMHO.
