Most likely you’re wrong. In July, Hawkins was a Trump backer.

That’s what changed my mind. I was for Cruz until recently.

That is what bothers me most about Trump - his supporters. They are worshiping him. No sign of thought and no comprehension that someone could look at his record and have doubts. Nope - to be worried about Trump is to be an establishment, RINO troll!

But then, maybe that is the ONLY way they can reject the concerns about Trump without needing to CONSIDER them.

“If we nominate Trump, we’ll have our third straight lose/lose election where most conservatives will have a candidate who doesn’t truly represent their views as the GOP nominee.”

Did you forget the win-win election that we were all so excited about? I suppose you’ve chosen to blank it out. I don’t blame you.

I understand your fear.

Ever since this forum began, we were plagued by one betrayal after another.

But here’s the ‘inside baseball’ about Trump ...

Top Sessions Aide Joins Trump Campaign [Stephen Miller]

Just today. Sessions is right up there with Ted Cruz as an anti-establishment member of the Senate — and more influential there too. He’s been working with Trump for several weeks now.

The President has power to stop immigration, period. Immigration is not a Constitutional right.

Typical Cruz-bot ploy. Every so often, one calls in to Rush: “You know, I use to like Trump, but...”

I am aware of Trumps faults. They are out kn the open for everyone to see. He is relentlessly authentic unlike every other politician, who is a flawed imperfect soul, like us all, but seek to ensconce themselves in some artificial veneer that mutes and disguises their real selves.

I am so ready for an uncompromising Traditional Red White and Blue America First candidate, flaws and all.

“Since when do conservative engage in this type of blind loyalty towards ANY politician?”

He’s talking about Cruz supporters here. It’s my way or the highway.

wildly unpopular Rockefeller Republican like Trump

I suppose the author expects us to take that charge seriously. After all Trump is wealthy and Rockefeller was wealthy. But that's where the similarity ends. The author even admits as much. "Trump has failed many many times!" bleats the author. Did Rockefeller fail? No, he used political pull to build Standard Oil and keep it a monopoly. Other than an insignificant eminent domain battle (which he lost), Trump has not been a political / establishment businessman.

With his sophomoric, idiotic behavior, Trump has been all but begging his supporters to stop pulling for him. He could promise to nominate Hillary for the Supreme Court and they'll still vote for him because he said he will build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.

But... but.... he said he would, he really said, he really really said he said... he promised....

The President has authority over banning entry by citizens from specific nations, not religions.

The President can stop all immigration at anytime for any reason.

“I’d much rather have Cruz, but I’ll settle for Trump if that’s the only way to defeat the political establishment.”

I think most REAL Cruz supporters take your position, that Trump isn’t great for our cause, but he will FINALLY take down the GOPe, who INSISTS, for example that we get behind Amnesty, and want to pretty much doing everything else the Dems demand.

The ‘Cruz supporters’ that get vile attacking Trump - I suspect that they’re not even Cruz supporters, but support other candidates (Rubio, Bush, Kasich, etc.), and some could be on their payrolls (obviously no proof here, yet). There is a LOT of PAC money which is NOT WORKING in the usual ways...so try some ‘unusual’ methods and see what happens.

If what you say is true, then it wouldn’t be the third straight loss with an establishment GOP do-nothing, lying weasel. There is no way you can say Trump is GOPe.

I was for Cruz way back as I did not think he was so fake then. The more I get to know him, the less I like him, to the point where I don’t want Cruz as vp!

Trump has hotel rooms and golf courses to fill and he ain’t gonna be alienating the top 1-5% establishment-wanna-be types, wuite the opposite.

I supported him until he showed his juvenile mean streak on Twitter initially, and every day since then.

‘That is what bothers me most about Trump - his supporters. They are worshiping him.’

Some are indeed worshiping him. No doubt about it.

But ... he’s not asking to be worshiped. He’s even subtly scolding them with his humor. Obama would neve have made that ‘shoot someone’ joke because it would have decimated his godlike aura.

Not exactly, but thanks. It seems he was interested in Trump, but didn’t actually say Trump was his choice.

:D

I appreciate that thanks.
