New Hampshire Republicans can do their party a critical service on Feb. 9 by voting for an experienced political figure with a record of results, and thus dealing a blow to the divisive, demagogic candidates running on nativism and other political simplicities.
The Globe urges them to support John Kasich, whose record as governor of Ohio shows him to be a pragmatic, fiscally responsible executive, but one who is also concerned with helping the poor. His success in that important swing state, and his record as a moderate conservative who is willing to compromise in pursuit of results, suggests he is the Republican hopeful most likely to be successful on the national stage.

Assachusetts media should mind their own damn business.
Eigth-degree black belt.
This is what one of my friend’s sons noted on Facebook:
“Apparently the Boston Globe just endorsed Hillary, urging New Hampshire to vote for her in the primary.
“Unfortunately for them, there’s not much that New Hampshirites hate more than being told what to do by Massachusetts.”
Perfect, isn’t it? I think the same thing goes for Kasich.
Alright, the coffee on my screen and keyboard are your fault. ;-)
Yeah off course the beantown glob would choose the weak republican RINO. it keeps the base home and if by chance he wins, it’s better for leftists.
My left voting brother tried to sell me on guys like Jeb or Kaisich.
‘Why.....’ I asked. ‘That’s not how the pendulum works.....you had a Marxist for 8 years, the right now gets a constitutional conservative for 8 years’. Boy That pissed him off that Conservatives weren’t ready to bend over for the left.
The NH Union Leader endorsed Christie and now the BStown Globe endorses Kasich. Shows how irrelevant newspapers have become.
Every other word out of Kasich's mouth is Ohio. He's like John Kerry 'I served in Vietnam... Vietnam... Vietnam'.
No one I know supports him or even talks about him. He's a media creation a 'useful idiot' for the left wing media and Liberal/Progressive/Socialists (but I repeat myself).
You can always look for the NYT, Wash Post and Boston Globe to look out for our best interests as conservatives. Ater all, they care sooo much. [/s]
Or rather, treat them as reverse barometers.
We already know what’s going to happen. The near UNH and Dartmouth wards will be inundated with non-legal voters or multi state voters or multiple times voters that will vote for Kasich in the GOP primary and show a level of non-existent support. We know that will happen. There’s brutal voter fraud in those two areas of NH.
“I kind of wanted to poke him to see if he was real.”
Sort of like poking at a hologram projection. There is no “there” there. (We have all watched the original “Star Wars” and Princess Leia asking for Obi-Wan Kenobi.)
Oh look, John Kasich got an endorsement!
Don’t you just love it when a democRAT rag sheet tells the opposition who to vote for?
Now I know who I should not vote for. If a very LIBERAL newspaper wants me to waste my vote on a decent governor, who will lose to anyone, including s socialist.
The Globe isn’t a magazine, it’s a newspaper. The difference is that newspapers make good bird cage liner. Magazines are worthless for that.
On FoxNews, Pataki endorses Rubio.
[Didn’t know Pataki had dropped out.]
OH people are convinced they have the national solution here!
He hardly goes a line without mentioning that his father delivered mail.
