Why would the republicans have a vote when they don’t believe in the age day they campaigned on.?

This shows why in Texas, the State Congress in only in session every other year. Limits the damage, and forces them to get out of the capital and back in the real world for an extended time.

The Govenor can call emergency sessions, but only for specific circumstances.

That’s a great system!!

I’ve got a lifelong friend that lives down there, she loves it. I completely understand.

Up here in the People’s Republic of Washington we are all slaves to Seattle’s whims. Imagine if Austin really ran Texas...

Great comment. Since when have they ever voted no.

Of course none of them will be paid for their absence and their employees will use any vacation time they have due if they are not in the office. Those that don’t have any vacation time left will take the days off without pay. /s/

It took a ‘big snow job’ to keep Congress from doing their ‘big snow job’ on “We The People” with their song and dance votes that confuse us all at election time with YES votes one time, NO votes the next time so they can cover their butts and pretend to be conservative to the folks back home.
