Tina Fey gave her fans what they were hoping for all week.

Fey returned to Saturday Night Live to once again play former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on the heels of the political commentator's endorsement of Donald Trump.

Fey appeared as Palin in the cold open alongside the GOP presidential candidate, played by fellow SNL veteran Darrell Hammond.

Sarah Palin. After she left SNL, she was quickly fading into obscurity, then along came Sarah Palin and her career was revived.

Um? No. I hate Tina Fey but after SNL she spent a decade on 30 Rock winning Emmys. I didn’t even watch that show but I know that much.

See my number #54 for her better speech in Tulsa. She likely had been up all night before her Ames speech due to her son being arrested. The Tulsa speech covered the same ground but was strong, enthusiastic, funny and the old Sarah.

Tina is not humorous at all.

Her attempts at humor are poisoned by her underlying rancor toward Sarah and anything to do with the conservative, patriotic viewpoint.

She thinks that she is hidding her real dislike for Sarah and us by cloaking it in humor.

But her bitterness shines through.

It was very funny...Fey seems to have the Palin voice and speech cadence down pat..and with the funky jacket, hair, and glasses, the resemblance was striking!

Palin may have wrote the speech knowing it would make her the star of the SNL opening skit.

Not to mention the last movie she did “Sisters” bombed at the box office.

Gerald Ford, who was about as liberal as any Democrat back then

Gerald Ford was a fiscal conservative. He vetoed 66 bills in just 2 years as President, most because they spent too much money. Compare that to George W. Bush, who vetoed not one spending bill in his first six years in office.

The only way SNL could be funny again is if they could get Eddie Murphy back & bring Belushi back from the dead.

If Sarah hadn’t been given such a bad time, I might feel differently, but I’d really like to slap Tina Fey into next week. Silly b*tch award winner.

The next morning after Palin’s endorsement, on the Today show, Natalie Morales said she was looking forward to seeing a skit with Tina Fey on SNL. I kid you not. That was the upside of the endorsement for her.

Political Correct people like Tina Rey think they are cool.
A lot of people think they look and sound like programmed idiots. Who are these people?

“But her bitterness shines through.”

Whatever it is that shines through is not attractive. I started muting her last night. Like the finger nails on a chalk board. I have never had to mute Palin.

It was funny. Fey has Palins cadence, hand gestures, expressions DOWN PAT...Hammond does an excellent Trump (who got the best lines—come on, “2 Corinthians short of a Bible” that’s funny). And Palins ending about being in Trumps Cabinet...great writing.

The endorsement speech, with the rhymes, was ripe for this.

Im looking forward to next week and maybe they’ll do Sanders again (Larry David).

First, SNL is still on? I quit watching like season three and switched to something funny

Season three would have been in 1977. What did you switch to back in 1977? Fernwood 2 Night? Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman?

Surely you have not been that much under a rock and understand that this legendary show has now been going strong for over 40 seasons. Donald Trump was still in his 20s when this show debuted. Sarah Palin had yet to purchase her first tampon.

I think SNL is better now than it ever has been. Yes, their comedy is very biting, especially towards conservatives. Most of the cast members and writers are young liberals so what can you expect? But it's funny. And they can be just as tough on Democrats. For instance, they've got Bernie Sanders down pat, as well as that woman who plays Shrillary.

I think Tina Fey does an excellent Sarah Palin. It's probably the only thing she does well. If not for Sarah, she probably wouldn't have a career anymore because her movies appear to have bombed badly and her TV is not that good.

In Living Color, I remember it well, the Bolt 45 beer ad was great satire!

The “trashers” just lay in wait for the opportunity to get their names in the headlines given the chance. I am surprised that Palin too the bait and gave them the opening.

I have watched SNL since its first year and I still watch every week. There are good periods and bad periods, now is not so good but it has been worse.

They get new actors and new writers, I am hoping it will get really good again, Will Farrell and Kristin Wigg good!

They make more fun of Republicans than democrats but it doesn't bother me.
