National Review is done.
I’m glad William F. Buckley is not here to witness this infamy.
I loved WFB Jr!
Watched Firing Line as a child... the adults in the house would say “Why do you watch that!?!?”
I was an odd child.
As we enter 2017....with a President Trump...I don’t see him waiting around on the Republican House or Senate to work with him. It’s going to be executive-order and some Republicans standing there and trying to explain why they can’t work with the President. I see 2018 election period as a turn-over point with several Republican senators (Wicker and Corker) meeting opposition, and being voted out.
Even McCain probably will be voted out here in 2016. Same for Alaska’s Murkowski.
AGAINST TRUMP:
Glenn Beck
David Boaz
Brent Bozell III
Mona Charen
Ben Domenech
Erick Erickson
Steven F. Hayward
Mark Helprin
William Kristol
Yuval Levin
Dana Loesch
Andrew C. McCarthy
David M. McIntosh
Michael Medved
Edwin Meese III
Russell Moore
Michael B. Mukasey
Katie Pavlich
John Podhoretz
R.R. Reno
Thomas Sowell
Cal Thomas
Good things to know.
I found it odd when Lowry said “we’re not a business interest” when the TV channels pay each and everyone of them to go on TV. Now, knowing there will be a President Trump they’ve locked up a few more years of cash.
They know they can’t CONTROL him....that;s why they DESPISE him.
Not my idea of conservatives, more like back stabbing b@$%@rds. Where were they thru 7 + years of Obama? Cancel your subscription to this rag, National Review.
NR is out of step.
Excellent analogy!
“All along, there have been principled conservatives opposing him. So we wanted to gather together a group to make that point quite dramatically.”
Since when has the NR backed principled conservatives.
Just like they all lined up against the Repub leadership in Wash-DC for the selling out of the people who put them there! /off-dark-dripping-black-sarcasm
