True, but only because Trump and Atlantic City lost on appeal, otherwise she would have been forced out for a pittance. That’s the real story, that Trump was more than willing to use the brute force of government to take from private citizens and benefit himself.
The man who eventually bought it was a crony of Trump’s anyway, he is the one who lent Trump the money for the casino property in the first place.
Cruz is desperate. His very small lead in only one state of Iowa is gone. A sinking man will grab at anything floating by, even if it is a snake swimming near by.
Trump offered the woman more than 3 time the value of her property!!! She turned him down he moved on!!! The ad is a lie!!!

As are many of the Cruz ads and talking points. His campaign consultant is Jeff Roe who has made a career out of destroying opposition, true is not a commodity. He lies with no regard to the damage he inflicts.

Not every one has financial smarts. Some people, like that old lady are destined to remain poor. I make rational financial decisions, and that explains why I could afford 25 ocean cruises all over the world and planning 25 more.
What is likely happening is that Iowa is in doubt. He's been leading in some polls, and the 2 of them have gone back and forth in others. The difference is that Trump IS going to win in New Hampshire and South Carolina, and he doesn't have to win in Iowa (though it would, of course, be very nice). Cruz, OTOH, HAS TO win in Iowa, or he loses all momentum.
I wish that both would stick with the issues, and stop with the personal attacks. I could easily vote for either one in November because I think that either would knock business as usual in our government (and the RNC) on its ass, where it needs to be - both need to stop being self-serving and revert to their true purpose of serving the people of this country. Both of these guys have what it takes...but they have to stop giving the Traitorcrats more ammo to attack the eventual nominee throughout the campaign.

And eminent domain is a process available to governments that is actually in the constitution, so it's not like the founding fathers didn't realize sometimes governments would have to force buy outs.

That is a lie. A stinking steaming lie. Any premise that’s based on a lie is obviously fatally flawed.
The ad doesn’t say Trump bulldozed the home, so where is the lie?
The ad says “Trump colluded with Atlantic City insiders to bulldoze the home of an elderly widow.” That is absolutely correct, he did collude with them to do that, he just did not succeed.

Memories are not the walls and roof of the house. It is your family pictures hung on the wall, may be even your favorite chair, and your clothes. All that can be moved very easily to a FOUR TIMES better house that irrational old lady was offered. But some people are destined to remain poor. Because they are irrational.
That's a lie. He didn't just move on after she turned him down. He got his cronies in the Atlantic City government to use eminent domain to try to force her out of her house. It was only after a court smacked him down (after her lawyers fought him for years) that he "moved on."
