The ad goes on to say that Trump bulldozed the home of an elderly widow in Atlantic City to build a limousine parking lot at his casino.
"Trump won't change the system. He's what's wrong with it," it says in the end.

That then gets passed down to the consumer. Of course Trump would say that because it is and always has been about what is in the best interest of Trump and to hell with everyone else.

Why does Cruz tell so many lies?
Exactly. Trump only tried to use eminent domain twice and both times courts rejected it. In the case of the Elderly widow’s property, Trump had offered her more than twice what it was appraised at, and the widow refused.
And it’s not like Trump can even initiate eminent domain at all. A city council has to do that. All Trump can do is present a development plan to the city.
I followed the story (not via wiki) and it looks like Wiki has it right.

That lady was not rational. Why was she so attached to bricks and wood? She was offered FOUR times market value.
If some developer offers me just 50% over market value, I will run to the phone and call Mayflower Movers. I am not attached to bricks and wood of my house structure. Only thing I care is what is inside the house, not the house structure.
Kind of sounds like what the Democrats use on Republicans every election - seniors in wheelchairs being pushed over the cliff and the ole noose trick commercials. Cruz is really getting desperate. He must be losing BIG!
So many Americans, but so few choices for a conservative POTUS.

I actually find it rather dishonest of Cruz to be attacking in this manner.
Ted was a far second choice because of his lack of economic understanding relative to Trump and his support of Corker and TPP.
But if he continues to show dishonesty, he is quickly becoming unacceptable as a candidate. I think he has surrounded himself with people known for attack style campaigns because being Mr. nice guy wasn’t working. But those people are leading Crus to dishonest ads and if they can do that in a campaign, wait until he is in office.

certainly with 50% of the country (up from 47% when Mitt was running) on some form of government check there is a bigger base to start from....
Trump says his art of he deal is all it takes... perhaps in the business world..
But the whole idea of the Constitution and the checks and balances and three branches is that things move slowly...

So how is trump going to get CONGRESS to do what he widhes them to do.... and what deal will it take...when they are already entering congress as paupers and LEAVING AS MILLIONAIRES...??????? by communicating directly with the PEOPLE....AS HE HAS DONE THROUGHOUT HIS ENTIRE CAMPAIGN....LOOK AT THE NUMBERS ATTENDING HIS RALLIES.... forget the polls..... people went out and waited hours in freezing inclement weather, people waited out side arenas across the country for hours.... the entusiasm was genuine and the crowds were huge.... or yuuuuuuge....

If that is true then, while I will vote for Cruz if nominated, it is a strike against him imo.
A lot of these homeowners could move to a nicer house, paid in full, but just want to be shake down artists. Much like the folks who sue big businesses for riches.
At the same time, same woman, if she did’t have enough money to pay her taxes, even if the house was paid for, the govt. could kick her out in the cold. I sure don’t hear the squawking about that on this thread.
It looks like Trump was out-strategized.
You need to be a good strategist to close deals and be an effective leader.
