In response to Sarah Palin's endorsement of candidate Donald Trump, an apoplectic Glenn Beck has announced his intent to rally with Ted Cruz in Waterloo Iowa.
However, the event itself is being organized by a pro-Cruz group 'Keep the Promise 1' (KtP1), a Super-pac originally started by billionaire hedge-funder Robert Mercer, who eventually turned over control of the Political Action Committee (PAC) to David Barton.
David Barton is Co-Chair for Glenn Beck's Mercury One charity, and the assembly of interests provides an opportunity to explain how all of these entities connect.

Billionaire Robert Mercer originally started KtP to promote candidate Ted Cruz. Eventually three pro-Cruz KtP enterprises were started but not before $500,000 was transferred to start up another Super-PAC for Carly Fiorina, "Carly for America" (CfA).
The Federal Election Commission sent an inquiry directed to Mercer's KtP, requesting an explanation of why a Pro-Cruz Super-PAC would be funding the start up of a Pro-Carly Super-PAC. -LINK-
The financial transfer remains a mystery, but common sense and a look at the timing of the transfer, would indicate this was a way for Robert Mercer to hedge his bets (no pun intended) in the event Fiorina gained more traction than Cruz. Mercer obviously wanted to have self-interested influence with both candidates.
The extraordinarily wealthy influence agent, Robert Mercer currently owes the IRS somewhere between $6 billion and $10 billion dollars. If he can help purchase a White House victory for either candidate, obviously the scales could be tipped in his favor.
However, as noted, not long after founding the political committee, Mercer turned over the Super-PAC to Glenn Beck's friend and business partner David Barton.
Barton (pictured right) now runs "KtP1" in addition to being Co-Chair for Beck's Mercury One charity.
But the Mercer influence didn't just stop with the KtP organization.
The billionaire also purchased a controlling stake in Breitbart.Com, who then began promoting a years' long poll of presidential candidates.
Unknown throughout most of 2015 – in the background for the poll data was actually a secondary Mercer enterprise, Cambridge Analytica.
Cambridge Analytica is a rather spooky enterprise consisting of a massive data-mining operation collecting the information of Breitbart.Com poll users. This data was then organized, packaged and used for social media micro-targeting and Ted Cruz campaign donation requests.
It is from the Cambridge Analytica data that millions of targeted GOP voters are inundated with Ted Cruz campaign donor requests.
In essence Robert Mercer used his financing to create a massive data set which targeted voters and then, in order to work around FEC limits on campaign finance rules, Mercer (via Cambridge Analytica) sells the data to the Ted Cruz campaign via KtP. See example FEC filing.

Color me surprised and disappointed.
Like I said, I listen infrequently—and he hasn’t been on air in my market that long—but I recall mentions of the kids/wife. When a long time marriage fails and there is a sudden “new” love it makes me question the character (sorry, I’m old school) of the parties involved.
This Cruz/Trump “dirt” pile is getting old. The PA primary is in the Spring—so my primary vote means nothing—but I’m reaching my threshold w/numbers one and two.
You know, not to rehash old history, but Levin’s past behavior on FR did not show him in the best light. A lot of ppl probably don’t know about that — I literally avoided ever listening, reading, or caring what he said after his brutal & thin-skinned attacks on certain ppl.
He really does seem nuts. And if he’s divorced now, his wife is probably better off.
Saw and heard that pile of steaming dog *&^%$, on BLOODY KELLY’s show. All of those people are disgusting, nasty, and a bunch of fools.

There was also a time when Levin & Hannity called in to some radio program that had Alec Baldwin on, and giggled their way through disrupting the show.
I cannot STAND Baldwin, and I’d give him the win against them. It was so unprofessional and childish, and reflected badly on them both, and on our side, because that was our “best” at that time. Ick.

No doubt this is Trumps team working....furthering the destruction of conservatism by hitting those who stand for it most.......
When Trump says he has a “great” ground crew working you’d be utterly stunned at the those pulling off his tweets, facebook and other areas of “working” for the Trump campaign on the ground....”Great” to Trump is not the meaning he frames it as.
He did tell his supporters about them if they were listening....most weren’t.
Cruz seems to be getting data from more than just this. I've gotten several fundraising letters from Cruz's campaign and, so far, practically none from anyone else. I've never participated in any of these polls. I've assumed he's been mailing all registered Republicans.
In any event, it was immediately obvious that Barton-type people were involved in his campaign. The first fundraising letter I got from these guys was aimed at a target audience only interested only in Christian Nationalism and no other issues were mentioned.

I used to post with and to him. He loved me to pieces, but one night I disagreed with one of his posts ( he was wrong, I was right ) and all of a sudden, he claimed that he didn’t know me/who I was and attempted to trash me. I fought back, he couldn’t take it, and I haven’t listened to him, nor bought his books since. Mark is just as you described him and you were being kind!

Loesch is a favorite of Kelly, because she either doesn’t care about Loesch’s past, or doesn’t know.
Loesch ran an anti-Karl Rove website for months, absolutely trashing Rove. At the next CPAC after Loesch’s star was on the rise, I had to laugh when Rove came up behind her during a broadcast & fawned all over her-he obviously didn’t realize who she “was”, or that she had a big site devoted to trashing him.
Now, they are all in bed together at Fox, and she’s scrubbed all that history away.
