"Nooooo!" shouts Cruz half-heartedly as he lounges in the briar patch.
"There's a lot of people who don't feel he can appeal to people across the board," [Orrin] Hatch said. "For us to win, we have to appeal the moderates and independents. We can't just act like that only one point of view is the only way to go. That's where Ted is going to have some trouble."...
"An awful lot of us really didn't like to be targeted as corrupt, establishment bought by the lobby establishment," [Dan] Coats added. "It sure looks like someone was using it as a way to gain notoriety as the only true conservative in Washington."...
"I think people are concerned," [John] Cornyn told CNN. "Because obviously the top of the ticket will have a big bearing on whether we'll hold a majority of the Senate. We don't need any headwinds from the top of the ticket. We need some tailwinds."...
"There's no doubt he has harmed relationships among people," said Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, the 2008 GOP presidential nominee. "I would assume that all members would work with the elected president for the good of the country. But there is no doubt there would be strains in the working relationship."

Just goes to show which candidate the corrupt GOPe fears most. There is a reason for that, it is because TED CRUZ truly threatens their hold on power. Whereas Donald Trump would simply buy off corrupt politicians with YOUR TAX MONEY.
If this is true, Cruz will never have the votes to be appointed to the
Supreme Court, much less be President.
If Cruz is at the top of the ticket, the GOP will increase its majorities in Congress, just like it did the year after ruz filbustered the budget deal.
Just for fun...
The usual suspects Hatch, McLame, Linda Graham ....
I don’t think it’s fear, I think it’s a strong dislike for the know-it-all junior Senator from Texas. He has been in the Senate for 3 years and waltzes in trying to tell everyone what to do - that didn’t go over very well.
GOP Senator: I'd Vote For Bernie Sanders Over Ted CruzSen. Richard Burr of North Carolina, told supporters at a campaign fundraiser for his own re-election that he would vote for liberal Sen. Bernie Sanders for president before Cruz, according to one person who attended the event. Burr did not appear to be joking, said the person, who demanded anonymity to discuss the private gathering....
These bought and paid for traitors deserve all the grief we can give them.
Go, Cruz, GO!!
Go, Trump, GO!!
We win, they lose.
... “For us to win, we have to appeal the moderates and independents” ...
The 2008 and 2012 losers notwithstanding — Orin is a damned fool.
Did that jet really barrel roll? my god!
Because holding the majority in the Senate has done so much for the party/country. Sheesh.....lame.
He asked for a retraction on that statement and called it a lie.
Now this should show everyone who will really get rid of the GOP-e and get things done. Go Ted Cruz! I don’t have a second choice.
damn! That’s great!
This is the GOPe flexing their muscles and settling on the deal maker instead of the guy who wants to change things.
This is false but nice try.
Asked if he’d prefer Trump over Cruz, Graham said: âItâs a lot like being shot or poisoned: I think you get the same result.â
