OK. Right up front in case anyone is getting all nervous about a priest commenting on politics: This is not an endorsement of Ted Cruz. Stop biting your fingernails. I'm not telling you to vote Republican. I'm not saying Ted Cruz is a great guy or would be a great president.
However, I am commenting as an American citizen on what is one of the most interesting presidential elections in living history.
It interests me because Ted Cruz is one very smart guy. You only have to check his credentials: his history as a college debater, his record as a lawyer, and his savvy work in Congress to realize that he is not a dull knife....

Yet both have good relationships with him to this day, as do all his children.
There’s something to be said about that
This nation is in need of a resurrection, as it is already dead.
Listen to Mark Levin, NOW, folks, and keep in mind that Levin also fought for Trump, when Trump was wronged.
Mark is HONEST and FAIR.
Let’s not fear hearing BOTH SIDES. Don’t just listen to Donald.
Both of these men have flaws but one of them will be the GOP nominee, and I will support either one of them. The spectre of Clintons back in the White House, Comrade Sanders, or The One’s third term with Uncle Joe is gonna prevent me from staying home on Election Day.
Donald Trump has signed the front of a lot of paychecks and provided employment for a lot of Americans. He is what made this country great, a CAPITALIST practicing CAPITALISM.
All Cruz has done, like a typical politician, is feed from the public trough and spend OUR money. We have enough of his type, they are a dime a dozen. Anyone can spend other peoples money.
Those that can do, those that can’t pass another law or make another worthless speech.
How very cospolitan of them
Hey, there is a reason they want to keep Austin weird.
IT IS FULL OF WEIRDOS. Where would they go?
Oh, please.
Not very bright are you? Trump doesn't have talking points, hell he doesn't even have prepared speeches.
If I want to hear some boring prepared speech with sound bites, I'll pull up a Cruz or Fiorina speech.
If I really feel like harming myself, I'll pull up a Jeb Bush speech.
None of those cities hold a candle, on the wierdo scale, to Seattle, Portland, San Fransicko...
Levin lost my respect when he kept repeating “big government” instead of addressing the real problem - ISLAM and the Muslim Brotherhood.
I listened to Levin regularly for nearly 10 years. In the last 2, I maybe have listened to him twice. He “doesn’t get it.”
Sorry....
Every state pretty much is the same, cities are liberal, urban areas/suburbs are more conservative. It’s the same for New York, and the same for Texas.
If you like big snakes...Cruz would be your man.
Agreed. We have one more chance at the ballot box before we go to the ammo box.
Obama has placed his minions at every possible position to continue the communist/Islamic destruction of this republic after his departure.
As I say, he is one very, very smart politician. It is my prediction that he will win the Republican nomination and then the White House.
However, I should remind readers that the smartest politician is not necessarily the best candidate for president.
A very smart man might be a great presidentâ¦..or he might be the most dangerous candidate of all.
My theory on Iran is that Obama has an agreement with them that they cannot strike us here until AFTER he is safely out of office and out of country. Then the next CIC will get the blame, and fundamental transformation will be complete.
