Trump was for de Blasio before he was against him

Right now socialist New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is conducting a one man Jihad against Donald Trump, but the fact is, before Trump decided to run for President, Trump was a big fan.

Yes, even when it was known that de Blasio was a committed socialist, with a long record of being on the extreme left, Trump was a fan. "I think pretty strongly that he'll end up being a good mayor", Trump said. "Maybe a very good mayor and I don't think he's going to want to kill the golden goose."

His positive words, spoken before the election when a Republican was on the ballot, went on. "I think he’s a smart guy that knows what’s going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York. I think he is going to want to make New York great."

Nobody who's anything close to a conservative had this opinion of Bill de Blasio. The only question was would he be as bad as David Dinkins, or would he somehow be worse? Rush Limbaugh called de Blasio out right away.

If Trump cannot identify a person bent on destroying this country, what does that say about his judgement?

“..These weren’t centrist or conservative Democrats, either. The recipients of Trump’s largesse, as The Washington Post noted in 2011, made a veritable “Republican enemies list.” Besides Reid and Schumer, it included John Kerry, Charles Rangel, Edward M. Kennedy, and Hillary Clinton.

Trump gave over $100,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and to its Democratic counterpart over in the House. All during this time, he gave to Republicans, too-just not as much. According to F.E.C. records, Trump donated $1.3 million between 1989 and 2011, 54 percent of it going to Democrats. Since 2012, however, federal records show that Trump has given $463,450 to Republicans and only $3,500 to Democrats. Why the change in orientation? Trump himself is incoherent on this question, but a few theories spring to mind.

The first one can be called the Rachel Dolezal school of political identity: Trump is a Republican because, well, he just feels like being one for a while. This explanation is belied by how much affinity he expresses for Democrats. Trump donated $50,000 to Rahm Emanuel’s mayoral campaign, and as recently as three weeks ago he fawned over the mayor and one of his brothers, film actor-and Democratic Party fundraiser-Ari Emanuel.

“I gave him a contribution because his brother is a great friend of mine,” Trump said. “Ari, king of Hollywood. I love Ari. And Ari asked me to give him a contribution. I like Rahm very much.”...

I would worry less about his judgment and more about his capacity to forgive and forget.

Just imagine the great conservative justices Trump would nominate for the SCOTUS.

“Just imagine the great conservative justices Trump would nominate for the SCOTUS.”

Well Ted Cruz will be one ;)

Also it’s usually smart for a guy who’s a BUILDER to say nice things about the guy who can make or break his deals...

As far as political donations Trump gave to Republicans and Democrats, and much like this article, we went over all of this back in August...

What? A major real estate developer saying good things about the mayor in a city where many of his properties are located? Shocking! Listen I understand Cruz has held mostly government jobs and has not had to worry about actually creating anything but I would think at least a few of his supporter would understand how business works.

Redstate...LOL!

@realDonaldTrump has given $84K to @NYGovCuomo, who says conservatives have no place in NY because they don’t share #NewYorkValues

i may lose some friends on the board for saying this, but he’s so easy to see through, I dont get it.

Do i think he would do some things right?

absolutely. Would restore the army and stop using it as a social experiment, at least be a lot better than this guy.

i think he would come down hard on illegals.

i think he would get business thriving again.

I also think he will EXPAND government, appoint liberal SCOTUS justices, back Planned Parenthood, not fight the gay transgender agenda, and basically be another FDR.

do a few very good things but be very liberal in all else.

was very turned off by the Cruz NY comment. It’s divisive talk, pitting state against state. we all live under the same roof,

i’m from NYC and all of my close friends and I are conservative. Very conservative.

staten island is a PART of NYC and is ultra conservative.

the two loans that ted didn’t report bothered me too.

getting millions from gay businessmen, eh, they knew where he stood on the issue and donated anyway. it’s not like he had an orgy with them.

i dont think either men are bad men. i’m just trying to figure out who the real conservative, if either, is.

the TPP and Iran votes and h1b issues dont reflect conservationism for Cruz. Bashing a state where he’s raked in a FORTUNE is sleazy and i thought better of him.

trump has no voting record and has changed parties five times and made hundreds of liberal, as well as conservative, statements in his past.

so who knows?

Obama’s mother’s citizenship wasn’t relevant because she was too young for it it be relevant if Obama was born outside the U.S.

I’m told that Trump has to operate his business in New York so he had to say that.

So praising essentially a communist that will damage a large number of peoples lives in a very real way is okay. It is justified because Trump wants a little more personal wealth.

Funny though. I’ve been told over and over Trump is so wealthy he doesn’t have to bend to anyone. That it’s one of his strongest points.

There’s conflict somewhere in there...

Old news. Do you remember Walker? He brought up all this crap on the debate stage with 12 million people watching. A few weeks later he was out of the race.

Everybody understands that Trump had to buy these politicians to stay in business. You can whine about it all you want. Nobody cares.

Correct.
Stanley Ann had not reached the age of majority when he was born, so her citizen status matters not one wit.
Mrs Cruz HAD.

Now if same standard, foreign parent, is applied to both, the Trump’s Scottish born mother would also be a “problem” if the same apparent logic was applied.

Honestly, for this reason, I think the RNC/GOPe will try to disqualify either or both depending on what the political landscape looks in two months.
You see, the RNC/GOPe want Heb or Rubio so badly, they would pull skeevy things like that to force a RINO nominee.
Much like they did to force the Mittwit down our throats.

So in short, your hero will praise a communist that will damage a large number of other peoples lives in a very real way to further his own personal wealth.

Wealth you say is so great he need not bend to anyone. Anyone that doesn’t conflict with his own self interest I guess...

Are those are the New York values you so cherish?

[In his 1987 book Art of the Deal, Donald Trump put it bluntly: “I play to people’s fantasies. ... I call it truthful hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration - and a very effective form of promotion.”]

It is a good idea to know what your taking about when you post things like that.

Obama’s mother didn’t meet the legal requirements necessary to convey US citizenship outside the country because of her age and how long she had been outside the country.

Those details matter. They matter anyway if you wish to be honest and not mislead people.
