Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said Friday he thinks Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.

"I'm gonna say this and I know people are going to scratch their heads and go 'what?' but I don't think he can [be stopped]," Steele said on 1210 WPHT in an interview posted by BuzzFeed News. "That window has closed and I think Donald Trump effectively closed it over the last couple of months.

TRUMP: Vladimir Putin's praise is 'a great honor'

Business Insider ^ | December 17, 2015 | By Maxwell Tani

Republican US presidential front-runner Donald Trump is apparently "honored" that Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the real-estate magnate a "flamboyant" and "very talented" man.

"It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond," Trump said in a statement, according to Politico.

He continued: "I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect."

"The US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has praised North Korea's despotic leader Kim Jong-un, saying the way he executes his political opponents shows "he's the boss".

-snip-

After coming to power when he was 28, Kim cemented his rule through a series of purges, including the execution of his uncle Jang Song Thaek.

"You've got to give him credit," Trump said. "How many young guys - he was like 26 or 25 when his father died - take over these tough generals, and all of a sudden - you know, it's pretty amazing when you think of it."

Congratulations to Trump and his Trumpets for pissing off 5,000,000 conservative Cruz voters. Watch us vote for the most conservative candidate 3rd party candidate in November.

And don't give me any electing Hilary bs, because I expect the flip flopping Trump to revert to his left wing roots if he is elected anyway.

Ted really screwed up doubling down on his New York Values statement at the debate. That was a massive tactical mistake. It was a "youth and inexperience" moment. Ted will have many more of those if he continues to punch above his level.

That said I won't hesitate to vote for Cruz if he is the nominee.

What's wrong with normalizing relations with Cuba and making a better deal than Obama did? Don't Cuban's deserve that?

Reality eventually sinks into the minds of partially sane people.

Trump will be the nominee...and President.

Hope you are having a Happy New Year.

Mine, however tentative at first, is emerging nicely.;-)

Then a third party look like what I will vote. I will not vote for the liberal Trump any more than a Jeb or other GOP establishment candidate.
It has taken a few months but I know that I don’t trust Trump.

Exactly. Only the rabid Cruz folks would stay at home to help Hillary.

The GOPe likes being the permanent victim so they have something to bitch about.

A little hyperbole there? Most of you will go marching to the polls to vote for Trump. And those of you who don’t will be replaced by millions of Democrats, African Americans, Latinos and Asians, so really a net gain. I think you will find that most Trump supporters would vote for Ted, even given our misgivings, but the parochial and narrow view held by many Cruz supporters demonstrates why Cruz will not only not win the nomination, but if he did, would be routed in the general.

If it was something that would threatened the communist system there, the Castro bros wouldn't want anything to do with it. Why would they want to agree to something that might ultimately replace what they and their communist ilk have there now.

Here’s what Trump said about Kim Jong-un:

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump appeared to praise North Korean leaderKim Jong-un, saying at a rally Saturday that “it’s incredible” how he was able to dispatch his political opponents.

Trump called Jong-Un a “maniac” during remarks about North Korea’s nuclear program during a rally at Ottumwa, Iowa, but conceded, “You gotta give him credit.”

“How many young guys — he was like 26 or 25 when his father died — take over these tough generals, and all of a sudden … he goes in, he takes over, and he’s the boss,” Trump said. “It’s incredible. He wiped out the uncle, he wiped out this one, that one. I mean this guy doesn’t play games. And we can’t play games with him.”

I would not call this praise.
You might. But I wouldn’t.
