New York Jews are mostly pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, hard -core socialists. So are New York Catholics, New York Protestants, New York agnostics, and New York atheists.

Cruz’s attack against Trump is nationally divisive.
And in a non-Trumpian move, Trump didn’t counterpunch.
Instead, he defended his home town and home state with honor and class. All without crapping on the rest of the country.
The Trump supporters with hand in hand with the media , just like the media, all in lock step with Trump and the media with knee jerk reactions responded emotionally.
However ? they knew full well what Ted Cruz meant, and this will be the proverbial snow ball that falls right back upon then.
What they don’t know and realize is that they are being painted into a corner.
The rest of the country is watching them, the fly over country, the south is watching them.

Upstate is a completely different mindset when compared to Manhattan. Mr. Trump naturally acted out of a defensive bias when he tried to argue it wasn't so. Of course there are some conservative people but their numbers are dwarfed by liberal and ignorant viewpoints. It's why so many of us chafe at the yoke the city places on the rest of the state.
That being said, Ted can never put NY in play like Donald can.
Naw... most people still aren’t following the election, and for quite a chunk this is probably the first time they’ve registered Cruz’ name. Ted will extract votes from the NYers who agree with him... De Blasio won with only 25% turnout.

If purist Conservatives stay home, unless many blue collar Democrats come out for Trump, it is 2012 all over again. Aside from Cruz, there is no one that can go on a Trump ticket which will bring out the Conservatives.

Both Trump and Cruz have plenty of New York values in them. I'd rather see them devote their energy to examining Hillary Clinton's values, or Bernie Sanders' crazy ideas.

What does this mean?
It does not matter what Trump says or does, the Trumpcult love it. When he and his millionaire friends are running the government, the citizens will remember when they thought “their” billionaire would have them living large like he does. A billionaire gets his money from other people as that is where the money is.
In order to make the country “great” in Trumps dictionary means the government will be rich as he is rich, and that money will have to come from the people who have it now - the citizens.
