An illegal immigrant has confessed to killing American artist Ashley Olsen in her Italian apartment, who was punched and strangling her with a USB cord in a jealous 'drug-fueled' frenzy.
Cheik Tidiane Diaw, 25, told officers he strangled Olsen after the pair had sex when she told him he had to leave because her boyfriend was coming back.
The Senegalese man was caught because of DNA evidence from a used condom and cigarette found in the toilet - which he had tried to flush away unsuccessfully.
Italian police said they had to swoop on him quickly because they feared he was about to flee Florence.
The chief prosecutor said that the alleged murderer had initially given a false alibi to police when he was first questioned. He was freed but then re-arrested when his DNA was matched.
Olsen, whose funeral will be held in the Italian city tomorrow, suffered two fractures to the skull and was strangled with a USB cord.

It’s very likely he made this story up. Could have followed her home from a nightclub. But then again...
He raped and murdered her and the media is soft-peddling the story because he’s a Muslim.
But what are the chances he is a Muslim?

Still very stupid to go alone to such a club in the first place, let alone leaving with a stranger. Call a friend or (if you're a regular) get a bouncer or barman to walk you home.

Olsen cozying up to this slime at the club may have been the source of disagreement with her friend.
And the poor distraught dreamer who is just looking for a better life also just accidentally robbed her.
It’s a shame to be sure. However, the lesson learned boys and girls is this:
Live like a freak, and die like a freak. Doesn’t mean it’s OK she was murdered, it just means that the chances are much higher you will die if you live like this woman did.
