German police have used water cannons to disperse PEGIDA demonstrators in Cologne. The anti-immigration movement were rallying against a rash of assaults on women, blamed on migrants in the city on New Year’s Eve.

And for good measure, one cop is pepper-spraying a PEGIDA marcher who is walking away from him. The article does mention that some protestors were throwing firecrackers and bottles.
It's just a shame the German police were not that forceful on New Year's Eve. Hard to figure out, huh?

Merkel is destroying Germany just as surely as Hitler did, and Kaiser Wilhem before that. I guess there is a German National Suicide gene.
Exactly my thoughts. Foreign rapists? "We must accept that immigrants are more criminal." Citizens who want women and children protected? Call out the water cannons, and if that doesn't work, escalate from there!
Those who condemn rape are being judged more harshly than the rapists.

Let me get this straight. 1,700 protesters and the law enforcement is well equipped to deal with them, but 1,000 Muslim men attacking women and law enforcement couldn’t do a thing to stop it.

A couple years back there was footage of a protester in Germany or Belgium getting a water canon blast to the eyes. It took them right out of his head. Very disturbing.
The German protesters need to be unpredictable. Right now, the authorities can predict what the protesters will and will not do. They don’t know what the rappers will do, but they know it involves fire, overturned cars, and mayhem. Lots of mayhem.
A little history lesson: Germans thought they had won WWI in 1917. Russia had just surrendered (immediately after Bolsheviks seized power). Then in 1917 the advent of tank warfare by the Allied Powers, along with almost simultaneous entry into the war by the U.S., finally broke the German lines (trenches) and changed the course of the war.
The military and the public literally did not understand what had just happened to them (losing, right when it seemed victory was at hand) and the myth of the “Stab in the back” soon took hold, leading to the 1918 German “Revolution”, the disastrous Weimar Republic (Marxist leaning) and the rise of Hitler.
Germans are a very strong people economically and militarily and have been since at least the time of the Roman Empire. It has always been only a matter of time before they wake up and remember their true identity, and put behind themselves the shame and self-imposed weakness that followed upon their WWII genocidal actions and their recently ended “occupied” status.
I predict the Muslims in Germany will get a taste of this soon.
