A TIP FOR TONIGHT'S POWER BALL WINNER (vanity)
A devious mind ^ | 1/9/16 | Baynative

Because I sincerely hope that someone frequenting the FRee Republic website wins the power ball drawing tonight, especially a monthly donor and because that winner will be an (almost) instant billionaire, I am offering some sound advice on how to handle the situation.

This guy has thought this through already. It's a longish read but brings up a large and interesting point about anonymity. He says change your name BEFORE you sign the ticket and get your dough. It could be up to 3 months for that. Compelling read.

Call your lawyer. Really. You can afford their rates now.

Your local lawyer is NOT the person you should deal with.

There are a handful of lawyers who handle big lottery winning. Your local lawyer is not one of them.

Don’t sign your ticket if you are using a trust to protect your anonymity. Also, get a prepaid cell phone to use as your number with the lottery.

I tried to find the gorilla suit guy but couldn’t find it on the web. I kept finding people in China wearing crazy things to claim lottery prize.

1. Put a sign on your front lawn reading 'NEW POWERBALL BILLIONAIRE!'

2. Throw a huge party.

2. Announce it on facebook at least a week in advance.

A lottery ticket is a waste of time. A way to support the ever tyrannical state, to support their lies and enslavement of the poor. Tell me, where does all this money go? And why are the winners never told up front what the state takes before you are given a cent? How now brown cow? Tell me please, please give us the truth.

At the very least contact a lawyer you can trust, and he can put you in contact with those kinds of lawyers. You have to have someone you can trust on your side.

I’m going to go out on a limb and predict no winner again tonight. Sales are through the roof, need to keep the excitement up and the revenue rolling in. It also overshadows the jackpot-fixing issue that arose less than a month ago leading to the removal of both the security director and the executive director of the Multi State Lottery Association. They were able to determine numbers chosen in advance and had claimed jackpots in several states.

How would the average person know who that would be?

Maybe about another month if no one wins.

The lawyer is more for initial, practical advice. They know what they don’t know—and get the referral fee for handing you off to the big guy.

Also, they will do some of the legwork about getting in touch with the lottery and researching things like taxes, trusts, and what not.

In the end, you need a dis-interested party to help you. You are going to be too emotional to do anything for a while.

Personally, I know some big money management people. They do big trusts. They would be getting called tomorrow.

That incident was posted on FR a number of times with all kinds of theories.

If I remember right..it was a computer generated draw.

Powerball uses actual balls.
