Melania Trump's American Dream
Harper's Bazaar ^ | Alex Kuczynski

Posted on 01/06/2016 7:29:20 PM PST by BAW

Melania Trump gazes out of her living room window over the gold tapestry of New York's Central Park. It's late November, and from her spacious apartment, which occupies the top three floors of the 68-story Trump Tower, in Midtown Manhattan, the 843 acres nestled among the gray sea of buildings below seem small, like a wet towel left on the bathroom floor by a teenager.

Melania, 45, dressed in a pink cap-sleeved Antonio Berardi sheath dress and matching Louboutin heels, nods over her shoulder grimly. "That building," she says, gesturing toward another skyscraper under construction at the corner of 57th Street and Park Avenue, two blocks to the east. At almost 1,400 feet, the structure in question already soars some 20 stories over the Trumps' apartment, making it the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere. "It is too high, and it looks almost dangerous," she exclaims with a soft sigh. "It is too…much."

It JUST came out!
Beautifully presented.

I like Melania because she doesn’t grab the spotlight .......
....yes, she’s a former model
.....but she likes her place in this family and seems comfortable as to who she is.
I think this is a real love match between her and her husband.
From what I’ve seen and read, Melania is a quiet, intelligent woman.

I think she will bring elegance and style back and I’m looking forward to it!!!!!
They have an adorable son.....and I enjoy all the Trump children!
They are sharp, personable, kind, attractive and engaging.

I didn't know Central Park had gold tapestry.

Seriously, though, I think the internet has killed off all editors and proofreaders.

I really liked this article. I got the calm, serene feeling that Melania reportedly brings to Trump’s life. She seems to be a calm, balanced person. And she isn’t going to let the media manipulate her. She just refused to answer questions that were clearly meant to trip her up. She would be a good First Lady.

You're probably right.

In my pre-caffeine state of mind, it sounded strange...particularly considering she was staring out of Trump's gold penthouse and the leaves have long since fallen.

Nancy wore “Reagan red”. Will Melania wear “Trump red”?

I wonder what brought her to do that photo shoot for Harper's now.

Print magazines prepare content at least 3-6 months in advance. So, this photo shoot was done in October or earlier.

Looks like the interview was done in Nov, 2015. Perhaps the gold tapestry was actually the leaves on all the trees. The writer of the piece was just using poetic words describing the event. :-) The ‘gold’ description being the key word here

Favorite photo so far.
Trump campaign should use this one over and over.
Classy, modest, ladylike.
Lots of subliminal messages: red=Republican=power=Blood=strength.
Flag=focal point=America front and center.
Flag on purse=American prosperity=make America great again.

And also, unabashedly proud of her adopted country, unlike the current Occupiers.

Her style is similar to mine (I wish I had her budget!) - classic and simple. That tends to look elegant and classy. I was commenting above about the red coat she is wearing in the photo. Red is a good color for her. (I’m talking in fashion terms not political terms.)

Surely she cleans out her closets and sells or donates. Find out where or to whom LOL. (Don’t imagine she wears anything more than once or twice)
