o be sure, predictions of Trumpâs demise have so far proven wrongâhe has defied conventional wisdom, and continues to be the frontrunner in the Republican presidential primary despite controversies that would have eliminated almost any other candidate. But the trajectory of the campaign thus far, Nunberg says, means that it is more likely than not that Trump will lose the first presidential contests in Iowa and New Hampshire, then hobble into South Carolina having lost frontrunner status and ceded momentum to his competitors.
If Trump loses Iowa and New Hampshire, heâll stumble into South Carolina. âOnce Cruz wins Iowa, and if he beats Trump in New Hampshire, which he very well could, Cruz would win South Carolina, from a momentum perspective,â Nunberg predicted.
If this scenario plays out, Nunberg doesnât âsee a pathway to the nominationâhe certainly wouldnât be the frontrunner anymore, and his numbers will start to fall.â

a majority of 2012 New Hampshire primary voters have college degrees, a state where Trump is currently leading. But a recent poll said that 57 percent of voters in the state would âneverâ vote for Trump in a primary.
57% NH GOP would never vote for Trump.
Low level ‘consultant’ getting his 15 minutes of fame...

“Effective immediately, low level part-time consultant, Sam Nunberg is no longer associated with the Donald J. Trump for President campaign,”the campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, said in a statement, The News York Times reported.
I think Santorum produces Christian movies and TV shows since his 2012 run for the GOP nomination. Is that work honest enough for you?
The Iowa Caucus has no weighting—the Iowa Primary, does. New Hampshire is sometimes a bellwether, but the number of delegates is tiny.
Trump hasn’t spent hardly a dime. His spending is coming.
Trump is often said to be an egomaniac, but if he shows he handles coming in second well in worthless races, he will then be considered a much more balanced persona but the country and his much commented “crazy talk” will be properly seen as “reasonable, but exaggerated.”
Trump wins by losing NH and the Iowa Caucus.
"Doomed!"

Nunberg, an associate of political strategist and former Richard Nixon aide Roger Stone, previously advised Trump in 2012, when Trump last considered running for president but ultimately bowed out and endorsed Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
Trump fired Nunberg after he arranged for a Buzzfeed News profile of Trump that ran with the headline “36 Hours on The Fake Campaign Trail with Donald Trump.”
He later hired Nunberg again in the run-up to his 2016 presidential bid.
Nunberg’s Facebook posts, as reported by Business Insider, also allegedly shows the political aide flinging insults at President Barack Obama.
“thinks that Obama is a Socialist Marxist Islamo Fascist Nazi Appeaser - congrats to the losters that voted for him,” Nunberg allegedly posted in 2009.

Caucuses do not award delegates, as I recall.
It’s simply a beauty contest with no prize.
It's in the article. He made some Tweets that were disparaging of Obama and let to cries of racism. Trump let him go after that. I can't say I'd blame him.
2. Who does the aide work for now?
Nobody.
Low level ‘consultant’ getting his 15 minutes of fame...
LOL...true....and, on the Daily Beast, no less! I guess the NYSlimes didn’t even buy what this guy was peddling.
“Disgruntled” is the right term for the guy...
You DON’T put your Boss in the middle of something like this and try to get away with it...it’s like ‘hanging them out to dry’ and if you want to work for a person, don’t knife them in the back...Good For Trump!!!
Trump wins by losing NH and the Iowa Caucus.
I’ll be looking forward to reading your Trump wins by losing South Carolina post!
Perhaps he can get a gig working for the ever so popular O’Malley?
The Dems or the GOPe, one in the same.
Not directly.
It's simply a beauty contest with no prize.
Not entirely. The caucus selects delegates to the county convention, which select delegates to the state convention. If a candidate takes 40% of the vote it means they have 40% of the county-level delegates. It does not immediately translate to 40% of the delegates to the national presidential convention. Could be more than that. Could be less.
Probably Hillary's campaign. He probably worked for Trump when Trump's positions were more in line with hers.
As I understand it, Huck and Santorum lacked the resources and organizations to capitalize on those wins. The same can't be said of Cruz.
