Former Trump Aide: He’s Doomed
The Daily Beast ^ | 12/30 | Tim Mack

o be sure, predictions of Trump’s demise have so far proven wrong—he has defied conventional wisdom, and continues to be the frontrunner in the Republican presidential primary despite controversies that would have eliminated almost any other candidate. But the trajectory of the campaign thus far, Nunberg says, means that it is more likely than not that Trump will lose the first presidential contests in Iowa and New Hampshire, then hobble into South Carolina having lost frontrunner status and ceded momentum to his competitors.

If Trump loses Iowa and New Hampshire, he’ll stumble into South Carolina. “Once Cruz wins Iowa, and if he beats Trump in New Hampshire, which he very well could, Cruz would win South Carolina, from a momentum perspective,” Nunberg predicted.

If this scenario plays out, Nunberg doesn’t “see a pathway to the nomination—he certainly wouldn’t be the frontrunner anymore, and his numbers will start to fall.”

I've been saying all along that Cruz will win Iowa. This article is interesting if the support shifts after that and affects New Hampshire.

1. Why is the aide a former Trump aide?
2. Who does the aide work for now?

This guy was probably fired and is looking to get hired by one of the other candidates.

Former meaning disgruntled and likely proven incompetent. Nothing remotely suggests Trump losses. More media hype.

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump’s presidential campaign said Sunday it fired a staffer after racially charged Facebook posts he allegedly wrote were uncovered Friday.

Effective immediately, Sam Nunberg, a Trump political adviser, is “no longer associated with the Donald J. Trump for president campaign,” Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski confirmed to CNN.

Thanks for playing though.

Yes, those Iowa wins worked out well the last couple of elections...just as Huckabee and Santorum.

That article states that he was fired for essentially posting on Social Media that Obama had Nazi tendencies

I’m not saying Cruz will get the nomination. I’m saying he will win Iowa.

But Nunberg was fired over the summer due to a series of racist Facebook rants, including one 2009 post in which he called the president a “Socialist Marxist Islamo Fascist Nazi Appeaser.”

Ya, nothing in this blog that isn’t commented on the FR every day. Cruz wins Iowa, Trump wins New Hampshire and South Carolina is a blood bath.

Iowa is sorta like the preseason in the NFL.

It's important, it preps you for the real season ahead, but winning Iowa isn't the same as winning the nomination.

He makes some good points. Nowhere does he say Trump is “doomed”. He does lay out, in his words, a “glass half empty” scenario for Trump’s candidacy.

However, I think this is based on Trump not doing any advertising to this point. From what I hear, Trump is going to start spending big money as early as next week to hit IA and NH.

It’ll be fun to see how it plays out.

well, that raises the question......who is the greater loser?

Santorum or Huckabee?

I’ll say Rick. Huck found honest work

Iowa. Nunberg says Trump has a natural disadvantage among caucus-goers in the state: a majority of caucus-goers hold college degrees, a demographic which tends not to support Donald Trump. Combined with a net favorability of +17 percent, compared to Sen. Ted Cruz’s net favorability of +55 percent, Trump has very little room to grow.

Tim Mack is the guy who looks and sounds like a gay kamikaze pilot who pushed the spousal rape story.
