(Reuters) - A Texas teen, who was a fugitive after allegedly breaking his probation sentence for killing four people while driving drunk, has been arrested in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, CNN reported on Monday, citing officials briefed on the matter.

Ethan Couch, 18, was sentenced to probation about two years ago in juvenile court for intoxication manslaughter and is wanted in Tarrant County, Texas. He and his mother went missing earlier this month.

We are talking Tarrant County. Cullen Davis was acquitted of murdering a 12 year old girl despite being positively identified by survivors; was never tried for the murder of another man; and was acquitted on charges of soliciting the murder of his wife and the judge hearing his divorce case.
The rules don’t apply to the wealthy. Everyone is supposed to understand that.

Not sure what they call it in Fort Worth, in Dallas County it’s called ‘The Bubble’ and folks that live in the bubble don’t have to follow the same rules as the proles.

The judge is NOT on the bench anymore. She retired soon after she let this little SOB get away with 4 murders.

Flight to avoid prosecution?

“The same judge who gave him probation for killing 4 gave 20 years to a teen for killing one while DWI. The difference was he was poor and could only afford a public defender.”

This is just flat unacceptable. The “yutes” who complain about unequal justice aren’t just imagining it. It exists, and real conservatives (as opposed to country club Republicans with “wayward” children) should be darned mad about it.

With an “excellent” pension, no doubt.

Yes, sometimes they have a point. Some black female co-workers have complained about the leisure time of so many white females “playing office”. While they get more & more work, they watch these white women visit and chat about their pets for hours on end.

This guy should run for President on the Democratic ticket, then this whole "running people over" hullabaloo will be drowned in the same lake as Mary Jo Kopechne.
Or he could go tranny like Bruce Jenner to deflect from his legal troubles from that fatal car crash he was involved in. Though I wonder how that would go over in a Mexican jail?

I find it unlikely that this person will ever make a positive contribution to society.

Oh, it will most definitely happen, one day he will die, then he will become fertilizer and he will finally make a positive contribution to the Earth and by extension society. I hope he contributes soon.

I thought the whole point of probation is that, if you screw up, you have to do the time for what the sentence would have been.

He was a juvenile at the time.

They may give him two years max.

“There should have been major outcry about this, but I don’t recall seeing anything...”

Well, there was a major outcry, and not just here. But I suppose that as a matter of law the Judge’s decision was final. I don’t think the prosecution has any right to appeal anything in our system and I’m pretty sure we want it to stay that way, no matter the occasional stupid decision.

But, don’t forget it was some acquaintance of this guy who sent the picture of him drinking and thus violating his probation to the judge and twitter, so some young person felt strongly enough about it to do that.
