WAWA sells ethanol-free gas. Look for the blue pumps. It’s good, though I must admit the fact that it’s so much more expensive is disturbing.

You can do what I do, I have purchased exactly one string trimmer, one lawn mower and one show thrower in the last 15 years and I have used 10% ethanol gas the entire time.

I use a product called Quick Shot - made by Amsoil. about an ounce per gallon and I have never had trouble.

I use a little aviation gas in my old Corvette and in spring the lawn mower too. Works like a tonic.

"the new rule setting targets for 2015, 2016 and retroactively for 2014 would represent an overall increase in the use of renewable fuels."

Now we have Obama passing rules on how much ethanol should have been used two years ago. I wonder what the fine for not having done this is?

There is nothing good that can be said about forcing us to have ethanol in our gasoline.

Ethanol:
Reduces fuel economy
Destroys non-metallic parts in the fuel system
Absorbs water, causing metallic parts in the fuel system to rust
Requires more energy to grow and manufacture than it produces when burned, so it increases so-called "greenhouse gasses".
Used to be produced by individual farmers on the family farm. Now it's produced by huge agricultural businesses who have bought out family farms.

Briggs & Stratton Co. has never liked ethanol because it can make a mess of things at the worst possible time — like when you need to cut the grass and your lawn mower spits, sputters and just won’t start.

Often, water in the gasoline is the culprit, according to Briggs, the world’s largest manufacturer of small gasoline engines.

And the company says the biofuel additive ethanol, which is contained in most of the gasoline people buy today, can attract moisture out of the air like steel sticks to a magnet.

Moisture in gasoline is a big problem for boats, lawn mowers, generators and other equipment powered by gasoline engines, said Scott Wesenberg, manager of Briggs’ fuel systems group.

If you store gasoline this is a must have. because of Ethanol.

Since when has anyone in Congress shown interest in going after the constitutionality of these unaccountable executive agencies?

I think AV gas is still leaded. That would poison a catalytic converter in a modern vehicle. Harley electronic ignition on fuel injected models relies on the oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipes. Not certain if leaded gas would cause harm there as well.

I don’t know the answer to that, but a little (pint or two) in a tank of gas does wonders, but limited use.

Well, the auto repair shops and new car dealers will benefit if 10% ethanol is totally replaced with 15% ethanol and all of the seals in our car engines and other components go out as experiments have shown. These are experiments that the EPA does not acknowledge as being credible.

This is the most dreadfully corrupt political country in the world.

It is no longer the “best place on earth”. It is a miserable place with life ruled by rules for everything ruled by a despot dictator.

If by corrupt it’s meant that all branches of government ignore the Constitution, then that certainly meets the definition. Tyrannical is worse, and the next step. We’re just catching up in reverse to the rest of the unfree world.
