Hispanic Republican leaders shun Donald Trump

Prominent Hispanic Republicans are holding out hope that business mogul Donald Trump won't win the party's presidential nomination.

They are worried that his incendiary rhetoric on immigration will sour Latinos on the GOP and sink the party's chances of taking back the White House.

The concerns of Hispanic Republicans are part of a larger panic that has gripped the party establishment as Trump has continued to dominate the polls with the Iowa caucuses nearing.

Freshman Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.) says Trump would have to apologize for his comments about immigrants before he would even consider backing him.

"He would have to start by apologizing to all the people he's offended and for the mockery that he's made out of the presidential campaign," said Curbelo, who called Trump's possible election to the White House "a bad thing for the country."

"It would do a great harm to our country and further erode the trust of the American people in their government," he added.

Republican insiders fear Trump would drive away Hispanic voters, a growing electoral bloc especially important in battlegrounds such as Florida, Colorado and Nevada.

Even 100 percent of the Hispanic vote wouldn’t have elected a Republican last time. This is more bogus cheap labor crapola.

Shame on them. Aren’t they refusing to have a big tent?

Seems to me I have seen pictures of Hispanic people who SUPPORT Trump.....

So are these “leaders” really just establishment representatives?

So, Carlos Curbelo (RINO-Fla.), what specifically is factually wrong with anything Donald Trump said about illegal immigration?

But are they going to move back home to Mexico? That is where their allegiance truly is.

Well given republicans supposedly have such poor outreach to Hispanics (a made up race to begin with) why would having the support of those who seem so piss poor at outreaching to their own “race” matter anyway?

Just a thought...

Is anyone else getting tired of this?

Then the “Hispanic Republican Leaders” are a major part of the problem, and unwilling to face the solution.

Normal, everyday hispanic citizens and residents (legal) agree with Trump.

The GOP disagrees.

The GOP is full of crap.

I’d hardly say RINO Republican Hispanic Congressmen from Florida, or Colorado or wherever are the pulse of mainstream America, nor are they the sole arbiters of Hispanic sentiment in this country. They certainly are not the collective leaders this article implies. They may be closet amnesty shills, but they are not the pulse of overall sentiment.

""It would do a great harm to our country and further erode the trust of the American people in their government," he added."

Wow, and what government would that be? Certainly not the one we now have that doesn't represent the majority of voters and is trying to replace them as fast as possible.

Non-Hispanic Republican leaders also shun Donald Trump. Am I supposed to be impressed?

He only needs about 44 percent like George W. Bush received from the vote. So pissing off a few is not the end of the World.

Let's take a quick trip down memory lane: At the (gag) La Raza conference in Cali (predated 2014 midterms)---Cong Luis (Dimwit-Ill) vengefully threatened Republicans---intimating hate-filled latinos would make sure they never win another presidency.

(waiting for hysterical laugher to die down)

La Raza President, and chief America hater, Janet Murguia, told attendees that it sickened her to hear Americans chanting USA. She accused Murietta, Cali protesters of having "cloaked their hatred in patriotism" by shouting "'USA! USA!' again and again."

"It made me angry," she said. "In fact, I was outraged."

Murguia demanded amnesty and said the road to the White House for Republicans goes through the Latino community and La Raza. She also said Republicans who want to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will not get Hispanic votes.

(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)

====================================================

Going into 2014 midterms, taking cues from their Central American handlers, organized latino pressure groups were heaping scorn upon those opposed to amnesty---assorted latino pressure groups threatened Republicans with extinction, they rallied around Democrats---saying "the latino vote was going to destroy Republicans."

REALITY CHECK--AMNESTY-SUCKING DEMOCRATS DROWNED IN A SEA OF RED ---2014 MIDTERM results evidenced not a single state, local or political entity claiming victory w/ latino votes.

UPSHOT? AMNESTY-LOVING DEMOCRATS DROWNED IN A SEA OF RED STATES

2014 was a tsunami that submerged AMNESTY-SUCKING DEMOCRATS in waves of defeat. Democrats who ran on amnesty were soundly defeated.

Fox's Britt Hume said the latino vote was not even a factor. Republicans won historic one-for-the-books elections---from sea to shining sea.
