On November 21st, 2015, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said to supporters in Birmingham, Alabama, "Hey, I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down. And I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down."

Don’t know about Jersey, but there were plenty reports of spontaneous celebrations in the DC area. At this point, I don’t care if Trump exaggerated the numbers, but the fact 51% of muslims here in the US (per Pew Research) endorse violence against non-muslims should override any quibbling about the numbers of those celebrating the attacks in 9/11.

What does this mean? Was he actually in Jersey City in a position to watch a crowd of thousands of people cheering? Was he somewhere in NYC or Jersey City watching a TV report showing this response? In any case, there would be video footage of a crowd of thousands cheering and thus far, none has been produced.

Obama lies all the time and Freepers call him on it. When Trump lies, it's the media's fault. Does Trump really believe what he's saying is true or that no one is going to question it?

He should have said that they were dancing for joy in the streets, without giving a location. I remember quite clearly that they were jumping for joy in Palestine. Limiting it to New Jersey allows the media to accuse Trump of lying. The truth is the savages DID dance in the streets. New Jersey is irrelevant.

I remember the CNBC anchor when the second plane hit” This is no accident....we are under attack!! “ I remember that CNBC scanned a number of big cities showing Muzlims “dancing in the streets”

I’m not talking one or two videos of cities. Mark can tell you they showed at least half a dozen!

I wonder if CNBC and other channels archive their newscasts. One would think so, and that it would be a simple matter for them to check. Of course, the MSM is not anxious to check because they know what they’ll find out if they do.

Exactly right. The same reasons that they refused (and still refuse) to properly investigate and vet the background of the Kenyan Usurper in the White House.

But you can bet the rent that IF there was some obscure report of (for example) Donald Trump or Ted Cruz tying some cans to a cat's tail when they were kids, it would already have been broadcast non-stop while accusing them of being 'animal abusers'.

CNBC showed this on national television. This and several other major cities. MK and I were watching the same network at the same times that morning.

The Bush II Government put a clap down on this “News” out of fear the US Population would take out revenge attacks on Mosques, businesses etc.. . They were right too—Americans were so angry they might well have burned Muslim neighbors to the ground.
