Morning all hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

There are some interesting things going on concerning Putin,Erdogan the Turkish president, zero and even a tie to Benghazi.

I will document all this as the day goes on but in summary it goes like this:

Seems the president of Turkey-- Recep Erdongan-- had planned to take out a Russian plane at least two months before it actually happened.

His son Bilal has a lucrative smuggling operation which smuggles crude Oil stolen by ISIS from Irqi wells, engages in human smuggling along with kidnapping, cotton, smuggling drugs and of course crude as well.So any Russian plane anywhere near the border with syria looking to take out ISIS trucks filled with oil going to Bilal is of course a target and provided just the excuse that Erdogan needed.

As an aside Erdogan's daughter Sumeyye (gotta love these names") runs a hospital for wounded ISIS fighters just in case you didn't realize the close ties between ISIS and Turkey. Here's a clip for that one courtesy of Breitbart":

The Center for Research on Globalization, a Canada-based research group that claims to be “committed to curbing the tide of globalization and disarming the new world order,” has released an alleged interview with a Turkish nurse who claims to have worked in a clandestine Turkish hospital for wounded ISIS jihadists run by the daughter of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The nurse, who declines to be named and is only identified as a 34-year-old Alawite Turk, claims to have worked for seven weeks at a secret hospital in the Turkish city of Şanlıurfa and seen Sümeyye Erdoğan running operations there. “Almost every day several khaki Turkish military trucks were bringing scores of severely injured, shaggy ISIS rebels to our secret hospital and we had to prepare the operating rooms and help doctors in the following procedures,” the nurse says.

Go figure.

Seems Recep was slick enough to get the UN to approve of his strike against pooties war plane and then the assassination of the pilot who made it to the ground only to be killed by the locals who just love killing infidels.

Rumors are Turkey's ambassador in Russia got a two day earful from pootie of every four letter word known to man. In a word he's not a happy camper but knows he can't screw with the UN while he is flat broke from $40 oil.

Meanwhile seems pooties biggest counter is to stop tourism from mother Russia to the turks.I doubt he will forget any time soon.

So it seems that Russia figured out that Turkey was smuggling ISIS stolen oil from iraq to Turkey by all those trucks with the friendly drivers who all got a Christmas card leaflet telling them to take the day off or get blown up and decided to take the trucks out.

The US couldn't have the ruskies get ahead of them on blowing up the trucks so they took a few trucks out as well. A little bit late, a year of so but we can't have an environmental disaster now can we?

Seems we were not blowing up the oil trucks because of the environment, really.

Several years ago seems that after the hildabeast let the bad guys take out Qdaffi in libya the CIA started a smuggling op at Benghazi with Chris Stevens the point man. Stevens was well known throughout the region and had connections both in N.Africa and the mid- east but talked waaay too much. This could be the reason his 600 requests for more security went un heard, unnoticed or in the circular file.He had to go.

Anyway we know the rest he was taken out and the smuggling op which began by giving terrorists in libya all kinds of munitions and had morphed into giving the turks stuff for terrorists in Syria ended.

more later.

Good post RG but I am confused.

First, ISIS is removing oil from Iraq oil fields and I must guess sells it to Turkey then Turkey sells it?

Then there is allegedly a hospital in Turkey for wounded ISIS fighters?

Didn’t Turkey once upon a time be our friend?

That region is such a pain to this planet and it don’t help that Obama just, boom, ups and leaves Iraq to allow it to better be a danger to the world.

Bah, humbug.

Bush's policies in the Middle East were focused on taking out Terrorist states or terrorist-sponsoring states. The whole, “If you break it, you own it” dictum of Colin Powell, along with the “Religion of Peace” and attempts at nation-building were wrong, in hindsight.

Obama’s policies are designed to totally destabilize and cause death, destruction and a vast weakening of American power and prestige.

It appears Obama’s policy has been much more successful at its mission than George Bush's!

Maybe Obama should have been speaking in front of that “Mission Accomplished” banner on the aircraft carrier Abe Lincoln, not Bush!

Erdogan's daughter... runs a hospital for wounded ISIS fighters just in case you didn't realize the close ties between ISIS and Turkey.

You make a great point here, Rod.

Supporting radical Jihadist Muslims today (ISIS) is not a first for Turkey. They have been playing silent partner on the Muslim side for a long time, going back years - even before Erdogan. However, Erdogan has made it more obvious by coming out of the closet and shooting down the Russian plane.

Back during the wars in Chechnya the Turks were the silent allies of the Chechen Muslims fighting Russia, which including medical care inside Turkey for the rebel wounded just like they are doing for ISIS today. Turkey also was a center for many other forms of clandestine aid in Chechnya as well and that terrible war went on for years.

No doubt Putin (who ran the second war against the Chechens) remembers it well and has about had it with his old nemesis, Turkey. The Turk's latest hat trick is pouring divisions of Jihadis disguised as 'migrants' into Europe and throwing the continent into even more turmoil. Acting as the middleman for ISIS oil and trade while stepping on the Kurds is only the latest of their calumny.

Turkey is a current member of NATO and has deep ties to the EU (plus the fact we have American bases there), so we have a problem, Houston...

What a mess Obama has made in the Middle East. Even our open enemies couldn't have arranged our chairs on the Titanic's deck better if they tried.

Morning.

I can recall our sanctioning of Saddam sending oil to Jordan despite the sanctions. The USG made all kinds of exemptions for our allies in the region.

Whatever the motivation for shooting down the Russian plane, the Turks had called in the Russian ambassador in Ankara for two successive days prior to the shoot down warning about the consequences of their repeated violations of their airspace. From a Reuters news release prior to the downing of the plane.

NATO denounces Russian incursion into Turkish airspace

Erdogan is not a good guy. He is leading Turkey down the path of Islamic fundamentalism.

rodguy, so many wheels within wheels ... but economically speaking, doesn’t it all come down to oil?

And what if the U.S. went full bore on our own natural resources? Could we affect that oil balance enough to change the picture?
