I don't think they sell the crude to Turkey.
I ran across a thread where they barter for the best price. I'll see if I can find it.
Bilal,Erdogans son, is just a middleman. He probablmakes so much selling amphetamines and doing human smuggling,he is willing to take a commission on the oil sales. Besides its always good to have head cutting terrorists on your side.
I ran across a thread on how the oil is shipped from a port in Turkey. It's very sophisticated.
There are actual blips/spikes in shipping when the isis oil is shipped, very slick.
Here is a partial clip from a really long piece on the topic really worth reading.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-11-27/how-turkey-exports-isis-oil-world-scientific-evidence
Here's what former CHP lawmaker Ali Ediboglu said last year: ââ¬Å$800 million worth of oil that ISIS obtained from regions it occupied this year [the Rumeilan oil fields in northern Syria ââ¬â and most recently Mosul] is being sold in Turkey. They have laid pipes from villages near the Turkish border at Hatay. Similar pipes exist also at [the Turkish border regions of] Kilis, Urfa and Gaziantep. They transfer the oil to Turkey and parlay it into cash. They take the oil from the refineries at zero cost. Using primitive means, they refine the oil in areas close to the Turkish border and then sell it via Turkey. This is worth $800 million.ââ¬Â
Earlier this month, Ediboglu told Russian media that "ISIL holds the key to these deposits and together with a certain group of persons, consisting of those close to Barzani and some Turkish businessmen, they are engaged in selling this oil" ("Barzani" is a reference to Masoud Barzani, President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region).
But even as Turkey's ties to the ISIS oil trade have been hiding in plain sight for the better part of two years, the Western media largely ignores the issue (or at least the scope of it and the possible complicity of the Erdogan government) because after all, Turkey is a NATO member.
Also proves you are absolutely correct,IMHO.
I wonder if that was 43's world-view ?: try to ease them into the 21st century. Didn't work.
You make a great point here, Rod.
Supporting radical Jihadist Muslims today (ISIS) is not a first for Turkey. They have been playing silent partner on the Muslim side for a long time, going back years - even before Erdogan. However, Erdogan has made it more obvious by coming out of the closet and shooting down the Russian plane.
Back during the wars in Chechnya the Turks were the silent allies of the Chechen Muslims fighting Russia, which including medical care inside Turkey for the rebel wounded just like they are doing for ISIS today. Turkey also was a center for many other forms of clandestine aid in Chechnya as well and that terrible war went on for years.
No doubt Putin (who ran the second war against the Chechens) remembers it well and has about had it with his old nemesis, Turkey. The Turk's latest hat trick is pouring divisions of Jihadis disguised as 'migrants' into Europe and throwing the continent into even more turmoil. Acting as the middleman for ISIS oil and trade while stepping on the Kurds is only the latest of their calumny.
Turkey is a current member of NATO and has deep ties to the EU (plus the fact we have American bases there), so we have a problem, Houston...
What a mess Obama has made in the Middle East. Even our open enemies couldn't have arranged our chairs on the Titanic's deck better if they tried.
The hosts are all Dems which is the target audience so why go on.
Trump has found a way to go around the host and eliminates the ones he doesn’t like
It really is,I learned so much this weekend I’m struggling to get it all out. We miss your stuff for sure.
He forces any weapons that are supposed to go to the kurds to go through the Iraqi govt. first and of course we all know how that works out. The kurds wind up with el zippo.
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sen Richard Burr Chair chairman of the Senate intelligence committee
Why are these Republican leaders so obsessed with Obama’s Syria agenda of support the rebels? No, get out of Syria, the rebels are likely only going to replace the dictatorship with a theocracy. The free world should have no interest in that.
My fear is that several billionaires desperate for open borders and low wages from illegals go to the RNC with a blank checks and who knows how many hundreds of millions go to buy this guy or that guy or this or that and in the end it's a lot tougher at the very least for Trump to weather a sunami.
One can only hope they don't get onto our college campuses and into the 'safe spaces' of our precious snowflakes.
Hoo, boy. Would that cause a blizzard of scolding hashtags in return, or what!!??
I see Carson has made it back from his trip to Syria. Maybe he’ll tell us all he if talked to any of those Chinese soldiers.
Hard to imagine Rove is still around even with his phony chalkboard. He’s wrong so much its almost funny.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Republican presidential candidate John Kasich.
Kasich claims Trump divides us [considering Bush derangement syndrome, we’re already there Mr Kasich.]
Look for Faux to have a few generals on to say that there’s a “real chance” that he was right about Chinese involvement in Syria.
Cruz had figured out these shows do nothing for your votes. They can only hurt you.
*************************************
They are a minefield of “gotcha” questions, not intended to enlighten voters, but to provide damaging fodder for liberal soundbites in the week(s) that follows.
The conservative media examples I gave do not attack Trump but give fair criticism when he occasionally goofs. They praise him when he deserves it but they don’t, as yet, endorse any candidate.
The assumed general consensus of the truly conservative media (no Foxnews, no WSJ, no NR) is that they like Cruz the best but would not jump off a tall building if Trump should win.
Couldn’t stand any of these round-table today, Democrat shills and ‘Moderate’ Republicans...
I don't see Islam ever surviving as a religion but rather what it is a deathcult. Do or die 24/7. Anyone who gets the slightest bit out of line can have his head cut off or hand or anyone of a a zillion tortures all made up by wackjobs pretending to be religious.
Probably not the most pc of opinions but seems true to me.
My internet is down but your stuff is awesome.
Attkinson has segment on Saudi complicity in 9/11 WTC attacks...US govt protecting the guilty. Classified report.
Pete Hoekstra: Congress would rather not deal with it. Bill in Congress to release the classified 28 page document.
Zacherius Masaui: Testifies about Saudi money funding the 911 attack. Saudis deny.
Good report.
