Lebanese Official Claims To Breitbart: NATO ‘Okayed’ Turkey’s Downing Of Russian Jet

EXCLUSIVE - Lebanese Official Claims To Breitbart: NATO 'Okayed' Turkey's Downing Of Russian Jet. [ Full title ].

Turkey could only have shot down a Russian Su-24 military jet after securing permission from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), charged Lebanon's Druze leader Walid Jumblatt in an exclusive interview with Breitbart.

The Turks cannot afford to shoot down a Russian plane, being a member of NATO, without asking the permission of NATO. They have to ask NATO. It's NATO, said Jumblatt, a member of parliament and leader of Lebanon's Progressive Socialist Party.

Jumblatt is considered the leader of Lebanon's historic Druze community.

...

The Druze leader's comments came as the confrontation between Turkey and Russia escalated, and Russian President Vladimir Putin implied that the U.S. may have passed Russian flight information to Turkey.

The American side, which leads the coalition that Turkey belongs to, knew about the location and time of our planes’ flights, and we were hit exactly there and at that time, Putin said at a joint press conference with French President Francois Hollande.

...

Meanwhile, Putin accused Turkey of accepting oil smuggled by ISIS.

Vehicles, carrying oil, lined up in a chain going beyond the horizon resembling a living oil pipe. Day and night they are going to Turkey. Trucks always go there loaded, and back from there - empty.

In other words, if an accurate report, yet another needless provocation by Obama trying to get Primarily- Christian world powers into a major way amongst themselves. Next step: really intensify the terrorist attacks against us from the fifth column now- internal islamonazi infiltration forces. All part of the plan

“Well, there IS one person on this board that thinks I’m a Russian troll, or paid activist, after all...It just goes to show FR does not discriminate.”

Ultimately it does not matter whether or not you are one of the trolls Putin’s Russian intelligence services pays to troll American forums in order to sow disunion like Hitler’s World War Two era NAZI fifth columnists did and Stalin’s Communist propagandists did. What matters is that you do employ their brand of false propaganda, disinformation, and false logic in what is often the most slavish adherence to the official propaganda and false information coming from the current Putin regime and sometimes the former Bolshevik regime. Given the past history of Russia’s murders and assassinations of Russian whistleblowers, dissidents, and defectors along with Russia’s sad record of disinformation about its invasions and conquests of its neighbors territories, anyone who attempts to serve as an apologist for those acts is naturally going to have their credibility dismissed regardless of whomever they may be.

The problem faced by the readers of FreeRepublic is that they have no means of knowing how many or which of the posters are in fact paid Russian trolls conducting a campaign of disinformation on FreeRepublic to obfuscate the truth and disarm criticism of Russia’s regime and that regime’s actions. The best the readers of FreeRepublic can do is remind each other from time to time that such paid trolls do exist and that voluntary domestic supporters of Communism and/or Putin’s totalitarian regime do parrot those same programs of Russian disinformation. They all play a role in Russia’s intelligence operations against the United States and the other nations targeted by Russia’s intelligence services as described by Lt. Gen. Ion Pacepa, the highest ranked officer from the Soviet bloc to have ever defected to the Western allies.

Using ad hominem comments, like “idiot”, is hardly going to dissuade any of us from seeing your links to Russia’s disinformation campaigns. On the contrary, such actions on your part onlt highlight your desire to avoid closer scrutiny of your comments, your accusations, and your motives.

"Ultimately it does not matter whether or not you are one of the trolls Putin’s Russian intelligence services "

All this coming from a supporter of Erdogan and ISIS?

It's baffling as to why Jim would let an Islamo-Nazi post on this site.

That's too much diversity.

You should be banned.

In other words what Jumblatt says is as reliable is what Putin or Assad might say. They say he is a Druze leader. What kind of relations to the Druze have with Turkmen or Kurds?

I didn’t realize it when I posted that, but it’s mentioned right away in the video.

I am tired of repeating this, but this whole problem in the Middle East is rooted in the oil, ISIS has been selling oil to all the participants, the French and Germans, the Russians, the Turks and even Assad.

ISIS saw what the Iranians were doing and decided that they would try that as well. The NATO allies sold their souls for oil.

Putin thought that he could push his way into taking over as special friend of the Middle East oil countries since Obama had withdrawn the US. Obama didn’t much care but the NATO partners did.

Now, back to Obama. It has been posited that Obama had made a deal with the Saudis to collapse the oil market, the Saudis could not be depended on to keep the prices low long term. The NATO partners wanted long term low prices, Obama wanted long term low prices and Russia wanted the Iranians to be the source of the low prices, so that it was how the Iran Nuke/Oil Deal came about.

Obama sees the zuS Oil companies as the backbone of US capitalism and if he can collapse the oil industry, he will have achieved his ultimate goal.

Contrary to your comments, you cannot be familiar with my posting history, otherwise you would have already noted my prior comments disclosing some of my military service and experience.

As for your complaint about criticizing other posters who allegedly have honorable U.S. military service, I will respond by saying, “So what.” In the first place, we FreeRepublic readers have no way of knowing whether or not most of the posters are genuine American veterans or not. secondly, the question of whether or not the posters are genuine American veterans may not necessarily matter. I will have you note that one of the men who exercised great personal bravery, sacrifice, and unmatched military skill and leadership without whom the United Sates of America would have been defeated in its Revolutionary War was none other than Major General Benedict Arnold, who is also America’s foremost traitor. If the judgment and/or motives of Benedict Arnold can be subject to public scrutiny, so can the judgment and motives of all other people who enter into public debates and public forum.

One of the techniques used by the Soviet/Russian intelligence services is to infiltrate a public group with multiple personalities and then disinform and agitate to direct the group’s beliefs and loyalties to conform to the objectives of the propaganda campaign. These tactics have been well described by Lt. Gen. Ion Pacepa in his speeches and books. It should be no surprise to find those tactics are being used right here in the forum provided by FreeRepublic. making each other aware of these Russian intelligence activities and being alert to there use by genuine Russian agents and by the othe people who just emulate them either deliberately or unthinkingly is half the battle towards disarming their ability to sow confusion and division of our society and body politic.

I thought it was because it had a semi-colon on the end, but that didn’t work either, I’m sorry.

I believe I originally saw it posted by a commenter on the youtube video with the 2 retired generals.

No way Obama provided weapons to ISIL via Libya. I was watching the Libya overthrow actions daily back then. There were 4, 5, even 6 power centers with different tribes, Islamic orientations, and ethnicities. Most of them had access to caches of Gadaffi’s armaments. Who got them was more likely to be due to whichever faction gained the upper hand in the specific area where the armaments were being stored. These factions ranged from very conservative Falacists to very disaffected Berber populations in the mountains, who incidentally may have been a decisive factor in the overthrow of their Arab dictator.

Of course it is correct! The only part that is not being told is that Russia and Assad have been buying oil from ISIS, along with all the NATO partners. How many times do people need to be told?

The press made a big deal about France dropping twenty bombs on ISIS after the Paris attack, but was it such a big deal, really? Isn’t think twenty bombs is anything much.

Obama made a big tadoo over bombing some oil tanker trucks, but he didn’t hit any oil fields or refineries. Of course his excuse is that it would be an environmental disaster, but so is ISIS an environmental disaster.
