Lebanese Official Claims To Breitbart: NATO ‘Okayed’ Turkey’s Downing Of Russian Jet

EXCLUSIVE - Lebanese Official Claims To Breitbart: NATO 'Okayed' Turkey's Downing Of Russian Jet. [ Full title ].

Turkey could only have shot down a Russian Su-24 military jet after securing permission from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), charged Lebanon's Druze leader Walid Jumblatt in an exclusive interview with Breitbart.

The Turks cannot afford to shoot down a Russian plane, being a member of NATO, without asking the permission of NATO. They have to ask NATO. It's NATO, said Jumblatt, a member of parliament and leader of Lebanon's Progressive Socialist Party.

Jumblatt is considered the leader of Lebanon's historic Druze community.

...

The Druze leader's comments came as the confrontation between Turkey and Russia escalated, and Russian President Vladimir Putin implied that the U.S. may have passed Russian flight information to Turkey.

The American side, which leads the coalition that Turkey belongs to, knew about the location and time of our planes’ flights, and we were hit exactly there and at that time, Putin said at a joint press conference with French President Francois Hollande.

...

Meanwhile, Putin accused Turkey of accepting oil smuggled by ISIS.

Vehicles, carrying oil, lined up in a chain going beyond the horizon resembling a living oil pipe. Day and night they are going to Turkey. Trucks always go there loaded, and back from there - empty.

Who is going to make them answer for it; Barky or the mainslimes? Only one man has the stones. Donald John Trump. But that’s too far away to stop what may be ready to blow NOW.

“Do you support Turkey shooting down the Russian attack aircraft?”

A Russian warship shot down a Turkish F-4 Phantom reconnaissance aircraft in international airspace over the Mediterranean Sea, murdering the Turkish aircrew. I have yet to see you protest those Russian and Syrian actions that were a clear and illegal act of war. I see no evidence of you protesting the numerous incursions of Syrian and Turkish warplanes into Turkish airspace with hostile intent as they locked-on their weapons preparatory to launching them against Turkish air defense aircraft located far inside of Turkish airspace, greater than 50-100nm. Given your posting history, it appears to me that you are either volunteering to serve as an apologist for Putin’s regime or you are one of those paid Russian trolls serving Putin’s regime to disseminate that regime’s official program of disinformation.

“And, if Russia retaliates militarily, do you support war with Russia in accordance with the NATO compact?”

Congratulations on your ability to parrot the Putin regime’s official program of disinformation designed to sow doubt and distrust for the purpose of dividing the NATO alliance in preparation for Russia’s imminent resumption of the offensive against the Ukraine. No doubt you will read from the script provided by Sputnik, Pravda, and so forth in an effort to persuade Westerners that every member of NATO is supposedly guilty of something which is supposed to make them disqualified to defend their own airspace and aircraft against hostile Syrian and Russian actions.

Note, Russia cannot retaliate, because Russia is the aggressor in this situation and Turkey is the defender in this situation, regardless of any faults Turkey may have otherwise. You simply are not going to get away with falsely trying to shift the blame for Russia’s aggressions to the victim of Russia’s aggressions. If Russia escalates its unilateral war against the NATO alliance, you leave NATO no choice but to use its defenses to defeat those aggressions when and where it is possible to do so. Putin and Russia had better heed those warnings. If Putin fails to heed those warnings, the people of Russia had better take action to keep Putin from getting too ambitious to the point NATO must act to defeat his acts of war against them.

4-Star Admiral Slams Obama: Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrated All Of Our National Security Agencies:

During a press conference on how to combat radical Islamic extremism, Admiral James A. “Ace” Lyons (U.S. Navy, Ret.), former Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Pacific Fleet, stated that under the leadership of Barack Obama the Muslim Brotherhood have infiltrated all of the National Security Agencies of the United States. Furthermore, Lyons said that Obama is deliberately unilaterally disarming the military and spoke to the need for the new GOP controlled congress and Military leaders to stand up to the administration and uphold their oaths.

Well, there IS one person on this board that thinks I'm a Russian troll, or paid activist, after all.

It just goes to show FR does not discriminate.

Idiots are allowed to post too.

With Putin threatening to unleash hell, I would think the Turks would be shouting this from the rooftops. Plus, NATO has not offered any support for this action that I have seen.

I vote BS.

“It’s the failure of the MSM to vet Obama (or any democrat) that allowed this dangerous fool to take office.”

Plus 4 MILLION REPUBLICANS sitting out the 2012 election on ‘principal’.

And Turkey says they warned them 10 times in 17 seconds and then fired. Seventeen seconds.

Lots of stink here, just hard to identify the smell.

Is it possible that ISIS threatened Obama with death and destruction all across America unless he provided them with weapons (see Benghazi) and ongoing logistical assistance? Is this too ridiculous of a theory to even consider?

Obama is a total jackass, but even he cannot afford piles of dead Americans before his term is up. It would define his legacy for sure...

Just a thought, and curious what others here think...

I don’t think he believes he will be only a two term inhabitant of the oval orafice.
Chaos and death here would allow him to finish his takeover of the US.
He’s not stupid. He’s a sociopath.

Vol, Your right on the money with that one.

The area where the Russian plane was shot down by the Turks is a contested area held by a Turkmen tribe but administered by Syria after the dissouluton of the Ottoman empire.

No way in hell would NATO Ok this Turkish shooting. In fact if NATO knew about that decision there would be some back channel communications to both sides. And never happen. This was a exclusively a Turk high command decision and there was a report here (FRs)that the Turk PM OKd it.

Cruz I believe is calling for a review of Turks belonging in NATO because this is an attempt by them to start a damm war. And Rubio is way way wrong on supporing the Turks. We should be arming the Kurds and giving them their country as well as doing the same with Iran and support the regional factionalism going on in that country.

Now that I have reviewed your posting history, would you please enlighten us on your service?

Do you have any campaign ribbons or expeditionary medals to show for it?

The reason I ask, is that I see several times where you are accusing battle veterans of being Putinistas and agents of the Kremlin.

Do you have an honorable basis for such defamatory and inaccurate accusations?

Did you serve and did you help win some war?

Or, are you another of those armchair pu$$ies that like to dishonor vets and their sacrifice?
