GOP epiphany: Trump's here to stay
WND ^ | Cheryl Chumley

lowly but surely, some of the very same pundits and political operatives who swore a couple months ago Donald Trump was running a losing race are now reaching a realization: hey, he's not disappearing, and in fact, could actually win.

"He has a real shot at this. He is the clear front-runner," said Ron Bonjean, a former aide to Republican leadership on Capitol Hill. "Months ago, we all discounted Trump as a candidate."

*snip*

"The media has twisted and turned through a number of different positions where they tried to explain that it was just a fad--the summer of Trump," said Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Republican Party of Iowa, the state Trump's led for months and that is readying to go to the primary polls Feb. 1, the Hill reported. "Well, it's lasted all fall. There is a realization that you are not going to wake up tomorrow and he's going to vanish."

Robinson turned critical eyes on the Republican establishment wing that's been so quick to dismiss Trump, despite poll numbers that paint him in the consistent lead.

"That is wishful thinking of the establishment," he said, the Hill reported. "That is what they tell themselves so they can sleep at night. The truth is, Trump has one of the better ground operations in Iowa. Will he turn out every single person who shows up at his rallies? No. But if he turns out a fraction, he will roll over the field."

That’s how they’ll do it. By accepting Trump they’ll condemn him as folks are sick and tired of the GOPe candidates

He may be in to stay but the gopE will still try to put a stop to him with our without an epiphany. I don’t know if they’ve had the epiphany that people are sick and tired of the same old lies. We want new lies. :>}

I actually think he WILL turn out all those who attend his rallies.

I think Trump's election will be a landslide of historic proportions.

And Hillary's loss will be yuuge in contrast.

Politicians must learn that you cannot fool all the people all of the time. Years of broken promises. Years of real criminal behaviour. Years of self enrichment. Years of self agrandisement. Years of PC to emasculate the opposition. And they want another turn? Trump is riding the ultimate protest wave.

From what I have been reading, the money that might have been spent trying to destroy Trump has dried up.

Every time someone ran a ad to destroy him, Trump only got stronger...so donors cut and ran.

People are hoping Trump is the new broom that sweeps clean. The main competition is Cruz as the hopefully still-clean broom.

True nuff. Trump doesn’t wilt at criticism meant to wither, because he (seemingly) has guts from a source other than the political world. Then he turns around and tells them just how washed up they are, in terms that may not be that polite.

The electorate LOVES this. Here’s a guy intent on making freedom, he isn’t complaining that the government masters aren’t feeding him freedom.

Too late. Moreover, everyone knows any “acceptance” of him won’t last. See, for example, GOPe slime consultant Cheri Jacobus, who tweeted yesterday she would never vote for Trump if he were the nominee.

Whether he makes it to the end, I don’t know. What I do know is that the words “Jeb Bush” have become more or less insignificant in the scheme of things. Even with his $100 Million PAC bankroll, he can’t overcome the fact that he’s basically a frigging Mexican at heart wanting to make “America Mexico Again.”

Yebito could get a clue about what conservatives here think, but we don’t speak Spanish here so it’s likely off his radar. His loss.

This is the year of the Trump. At this point I think he is unstoppable. The GOPe is finally moving from depression to acceptance. :-)

The Cheap Labor Express is apoplectic.
They were sure Trump would be gone by now.

Everything they have tried has blown up in their faces.

The citizens REALLY DO want the borders secured and the laws enforced.

They still have tricks up their sleeve to deny him the nomination.

They will not allow us to elect anyone who would stop the illegal alien inundation.

I have never seen a candidate lead in the polls for 4 months straight and not be called the presumptive nominee.

And Trump polling goes up and up.

Next month His wife and daughter Ivanka go out to campaign for him, and we will start to see Trump for really the first time buy media spots. This guy leads in all the “HONEST UNCOOKED” polls, read Fox.

Fox was yesterday still trying to sell that Trump fabricated the Jersey City Muslims tail gate parties. Now they have found addition news articles, and hundreds of people have come forward to back up these claims.

FOX STOP SHILLING FOR GOPEE. ACCEPT TRUMP AS THE GOP LORD AND SAVIOR. WOULD BE NICE TO BEAT HILLARY

Was thinking of this with the "Muslims cheering" story: What Trump does with everything he engages in is move the dialogue toward his direction, sometimes a lot.

So, immediately after he says there were "thousands" of Muslims cheering in NJ, the drive-bys quickly write stories that he was wrong. That there were no Muslims cheering. But then one by one, people begin to tell their own stories and these start to leak out so that the fall back is, "Well, there weren't 'thousands.' Maybe a few." More keep leaking out. Meanwhile what major THEME has been produced? Not that "Trump lied." Rather, "Muslims cheered 9/11." Whether it was "thousands" or "hundreds," it doesn't look good.

Then the "I saw people jumping." So the drivebys claim he couldn't have seen it from his apartment. Of course, he does have a telescope, but he didn't say he saw it with the naked eye. He said he watched the plane fly into the second tower, and that "there were people jumping." Anyone doing what I would have done---had I had direct eyesight from an apartment there on that day---would be flipping back and forth from my own line of sight to the TV. And the TV in fact caught people jumping.

But here's the key: AGAIN, the narrative has been moved from one that the media didn't even want to talk about (i.e., there were people jumping from the towers for what Islamic radicals did)---and haven't even shown those pictures in a decade!---to now discussing it openly, often causing the pictures to be shown again.

Same thing with the illegals "raping." This was completely buried until Don Lemon challenges Trump on it, then all of a sudden it's part of the narrative that the illegals are "raping" and committing all sorts of other crimes.

All this has to be driving the Krauthammers and the Brit Humes and the Jim Geraghtys and the Byron Yorks utterly nuts because they think they "have" Trump on a lie, when in fact the OVERALL GENERAL TRUTH of the issue is precisely what he is raising.

Cheri ‘Succubus’ is one vote. The Republican voters who STAYED HOME for the last 2 election cycles will be out in force this time. Her vote will mean dog $h!7.
