Marco Rubio says that if there is a terrorist attack in America, it will be because of people who voted against NSA surveillance, and he has previously criticized Ted Cruz for voting against it. So he seems to be saying that future terrorist attacks will be on Ted Cruz's head. Additionally, one of his super-PACs is running an ad saying that Cruz voted to weaken our ability to fight terrorists.
What exactly did Cruz vote for? Cruz voted for a bill that stops the NSA from collecting all phone records from all Americans. There is no reason for the government to keep details on all our phone records. Remember the days when the government had to show "reasonable suspicion" and needed a warrant to get our private information? Ever since the Bush administration, that has been ignored, and the government has been gathering data on all of us.
It's been a tremendous invasion of privacy, and it has been totally unnecessary, since 99% of us are not terrorist suspects. Cruz voted to end this policy in order to protect our privacy while still giving the government the ability to request specific phone records from specific individuals of interest. In other words, the government still has free rein to go after terrorists, while the privacy of most law-abiding citizens are protected.
This is what Marco Rubio is complaining about. He seems to think that only a Big Brother government that keeps track of the private information of every citizen can keep us safe. His ignorance of this is what one might expect of a slacking C student attacking a top Harvard grad.

In addition to wanting to commit American troops to every hotspot in the world, Rubio wants Big Brother to dragnet all of our communications. This guy is dangerously ill informed or ill intentioned.
But .. I believe what Cruz voted for was to STOP “bulk collection of phone data”. He did not vote to STOP ALL collection of phone data.
There’s a big difference. I expect Cruz will clarify that very shortly .. showing once again that Rubio is being used by the GOPe to try to get rid of Cruz.
And .. further assumes my belief that Rubio is not strong enough to think for himself; he will therefore be subject to every whim of the GOPe.
PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THAT .. AND STOP SHOVING RUBIO IN OUR FACE.

While Ted Cruz was here in Congress trying to protect our civil liberties Marco Rubio and John McCain in 2013 meeting with Anti-Assad rebbles I.E. ISIS seeking ways to help ISIS , send them supplies, arms, and humanitarian aid.

Rubio had such promise. Then he listened to the likes of McCain and Bush. Now he’s just another clueless GOPe hack who likes the idea of big government as long as it does what he wants.
Is Rubio a democrat now? This sounds like their tactic.
