Column: Lax gun control to blame for increased violence, not religion

The real problem does not lie with these refugees seeking help from America. The real problem lies in the accessibility terrorists have to guns in this country.

Rep. Tony Dale, a Republican congressman for the state of Texas, expressed that one of his top concerns about the refugee situation is how easy it is to buy a gun in his state.

Dale is not wrong. The availability of guns for anyone in America, even legally, is nonsensical. According to the Government Accountability Office, between 2004 and 2014, 91 percent of the time suspected terrorists attempted to buy guns in America they succeeded. This is because the law only bans felons, fugitives, drug addicts and domestic abusers from purchasing guns. However if a person’s background check indicates he or she is on the FBI’s terrorist watch list, usually under “reasonable suspicion,” they are not prohibited from legally purchasing rifles or handguns. Some bipartisan groups attempted to pass a law that would no longer make this possible, but the National Rifle Association not surprisingly, opposed it.

Boy, if we had common sense gun control like they have in France, we’d be safe then!

The NRA opposed it because there was an arbitrary process where virtually anyone could enter a person on the terrorist watch list, which is kept secret, and no legal means to get your name off the list once it was put on. In otherwords, liberal hacks like Lois Lerner could add the names of conservatives to the list and it would be impossible to get them removed.

Actually, the murder rate has been dropping for decades, but we must not let facts stand in the way of our straw men and demagoguery.

She is obviously wrong- but what disturbs me is the texas governor saying what he has said- The problem is NOT the easy availability of guns which terrorists can get their hands on- the problem is that we are ALLOWING terrorists into our nation in the first place- No terrorists, NO gun violence by them unless they invade from outside the US- pretty simple.

The solution would be to allow citizens to walk around armed for those few times when current us muslism do end up going rogue- the solution is NOT to prevent law abiding citizens from legally practicing their second amendment right.

It does NOT matter whether guns are legal or illegal, Terrorists will still buy them and use them regardless of where they get them from- black market or legal gun shows- makes no difference to the terrorist where they get their guns from- they are well financed and will get them regardless of how much they have to pay for them- (actually it does matter a hell of a lot because outlawing guns puts us ALL at risk)

The governor is helping the liberal cause by saying what he has said it appears- and I n texas of all places-

So. Does UA still have the reputation as a ‘party school’ full of drunkards and dopers?

Even if they have changed to become a more serious place, I don’t think I’ll be using a student newspaper to inform me of things that happen in the real world.

“The governor is helping the liberal cause by saying what he has said it appears- and I n texas of all places-”

Which goes to show the problem with the GOP. Once candidates running as conservatives are elected, they are quickly coopted by the party and fall in line with the establishment. Why?

I’ve got a friend who always gets flagged when he tries to buy a firearm. Every time!
After a week he always gets the OK to pick up his firearm.

Someone with a name like his name may be on a watch list.

Further, no fault divorce, sexual promiscuity, and lax discipline in schools have about ruined the young black males in this country. Take their guns away from them and they will do what the Arabs in Israel are, task up knives. That is why there are more killings in Chicago each day than in Middle Eastern cities: angry, directionless young men, goaded to violence by a angry President and his inner circle.

"Person obviously hasn't heard the name Paris before."

Sure she has.
Miss Suriano 'follows' Paris Hilton on Twitter. And "likes' her on Facebook.

;-)

"...The real problem lies in the accessibility terrorists have to guns in this country..."

I don't think I have ever seen a more moronic statement than this one. When Bill Whittle talks about liberals and guns in his excellent video "It's The Steel", this guy is exactly who he is talking about.

Liberalism is indeed a mental illness.

No global climate change is to blame! The gun control meme is just a distraction by the planet haters to keep the real threat or our time from being solved. If Paris taught us one thing it is that too much heat and not enough rain turns peaceful altruistic Muslims into crazed sociopaths who will fly planes into buildings bomb subways, shoot down airliners, behead missionaries and burn children. It's the climate that causes terrorism.

Do I really need the sarc tag?

How in the hell do “terrorist” get guns in America when we are told every day that there are NO TERRORST in the United States by this out of control administration?

This is just another bait and switch gun control move by the liberal socialist who want gun control before the Muslim in chief leaves office!!

Hell, the liberal socialist call white Christian Americans “terrorist” and anyone who disagrees with liberal socialist ideals “terrorist” even anti abortionist and gun owners are all terrorist according to the liberal socialist so that is their real goal!

After all, there are no terrorist in the United States right? How are they getting guns then, maybe the Obama administration is running guns to the terrorist again?

This gun control move is so transparent, the liberal socialist are after every Americans firearms and no matter how they intend to promote their gun control against Americans, calling it: “keeping guns out of the hands of terrorist” is just too rich!!!!!
