I am not sure that I could rise to the occasion, the way he has done. But we must all pray, and hope to improve ourselves.
I think that the husband’s statement does not say anything, either way, about the legal penalty. Presumably, he is leaving that up to the law, and it isn’t his call to make.
The statement says that he is very glad to hear of an arrest, and a well founded case, and that he hopes that the guilty ones will come to know Christ. That may mean that they are reconciled with the Lord before they are executed. I think it is better if everyone has a chance to repent - although with some people, I care less than I do with others.
It gets better. Before they charged these animals, a bunch of Libs were claiming that the Christian pastor husband did it.

I have never understood how these morons think they are going to get away with something like this. They’re not smart enough to not leave incriminating evidence. Are their lives so bleak that life in prison is something to look forward to? Is their impulse control so weak that a crime like this ever actually seems like a good idea?

My comment is more about the husband’s statement regarding these hood rats. It is not his place to forgive. That is God’s place. We all know that in this current political climate justice will not be blind. It will see two young troubled youths who need rehabilitated (given money, housing, counseling,etc.).
Others who would do such things will not be discourage by the severe punishment these two get because they won’t get it.
God’s Sovereignty is the only reason I can contemplate such things and not go insane with rage.
