Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson backed up Donald Trump's claim that thousands of Muslims in New Jersey partied on September 11, 2001, telling a journalist that he had actually seen video of the incident.
ABC News' Katherine Faulders tweeted out video of the exchange Monday afternoon.

2001 was before youtube. Ergo, the video isn’t just floating around but is in some news media archive.

Yes Carson, Cruz, Rubio are all echoing Trump to some degree. I’d like to see the film, but I read that the FBI removed it from all media. Does anyone know if this is true?
My brother in. Law was a JC cop in 2001 and I clearly recall him telling me of the celebration in Liberty Park and unsaid here was a few ass kickings by the cops on those cheering.

Interestingly, Christie has demurred in rebuking Trump. I have a feeling that he, like me, has a vague memory of this without specifics. The fact that he didn’t jump to condemn Trump makes me believe he thinks it happened.

Carson has always followed the other candidates. If they say something good, then he jumps on the bandwagon a few days later. Been that way since day one. He’s definitely not a leader.

I'm thinking Trump saw the same thing, but may not have noticed that they weren't in New Jersey. Perhaps New Jersey looks so bad that it can be mistaken for an Islamic Ghetto? :)
But seriously, I think the media are deliberately trying to make him look bad, and so they are deliberately ignoring the fact that there was video aired that showed Muslims dancing in the streets at the news of the Twin Towers destruction.
Yes, there was such scenes being shown on television. I saw them too.

There were some Israelis detained for about 2 months. Those I think they pulled out of an Urban Moving Systems van. Then they were let go and appeared on Israeli tv speaking Hebrew.
I don't know if it was that van or another bigger truck, it is on Google images and youtube. It had a mural painted on the side with the twin towers and an airplane. Very strange.
Be that as it may, it would have been mostly Arabs celebrating. And WAPO owes Trump an apology, but he won't get it. It's another way they trick the public. Put it out there whether true or not. Then they get away with the subterfuge or um lie because the public attention span is short and they don't question. Trump was telling the truth about celebrations.
Christie said he didn’t recall the Muslim celebration on 9/11.
